What is it with Asians and Aphrodisiacs

Why is it that in certain Asian cultures, aphrodisiacs are so highly sought after.

Why is it that even well educated people in places like Japan and China will pay thousands for Tiger penises, the panceratic fluid of a bear, or Rhino horn, even when they know they don't work?
And why is this sort of thing seemingly so specific to far eastern cultures?

That's the problem, they really still believe that the aphrodisiacs do work. It seems even with much knowledge old traditions live on and on and on.

thing is...if you can eat a tiger penis...it doesnt matter what your penis is, if its micropenis or nanopenis or even quantumpenis, because you got the balls to eat that tiger's penis and/or you got the balls to get the money for the tiger penis.
