Was The Spinning Helical Fractal Universe Right-Handed Before The Big Bang?

Does the universe have a handedness? According to this Spiral Galaxy Study it does. If so, was there more right-handedness before the BB or did this only happen due to the asymmetric nature of the BB event? I guess that 2/3 of matter could have been right-handed to start with, while only one out of the three spatial axes could have been left-handed. (Think about it). This seems a likely contender to me.

There's a difference between galactic chirality and matter chirality. Galactic chirality involves the way to matter is orbiting the galactic core relative to other things. Matter chirality involves how particular particle multiplets transform under representations of their gauge group, such as leptons transforming under $$SU(2)_{L}$$, rather than both the left and the right. There's other chirality seen in nature, such as biological chemicals. In a lab, mixing together chemicals to make biological enzymes you end up with a 50/50 mix of left and right handed enzymes, yet in nature it's something like a 99/1 mix, our bodies (and other animals and plants too) prefer a particular handedness.

A rather unfortunate example of this is Thalidamide. Both left and right handed versions treat particular illnesses but one of them gives birth defects in pregnant mothers. :(

That's an interesting take on the subject, Alpha Numeric. Do you appreciate the fractal nature of chirality on a universal scale? Perhaps there isn't that much of a difference between galactic chirality and matter chirality as you think. It's just that we haven't got the big picture just yet.
