Warren Buffet: I should be paying a lot more in taxes!

Those who whine for the the very wealthy like to talk about "marginal tax rates". "Average tax rates" are much more meaningful. Warren Buffett's marginal tax rate can be higher than the middle class marginal tax rates while his average tax rate is lower than the middle class's average tax rate.

Those who whine for the very wealthy like to talk about personal and corporate income taxes and estate and gift taxes while they ignore payroll taxes, sales taxes and property taxes.

When those who whine for the wealthy talk about government spending they focus on Medicare, Medicaid and Social security but these were paid for by the taxes that they don't like to talk about.

It was not these social programs minus the taxes that pay for them that ran up the big deficit that created this giant new interest on the debt government expense.
