UFO photo scan experiment

I think the comments section sums it up nicely. The photo fooled
no one interested in UFOlogy, but many skeptics came up with
many incorrect theories as to how it was faked, thinking they
debunked it.

Most of those not interested in UFOlogy wern't fooled not because they analyzed it, but because they started with the assumption that it was fake, and many of those who said it wasn't a UFO said it WAS a real object.

The point of the hoax was to point out who asks questions and who doesn't. Some skeptics didn't ask questions, some believers didn't either, but it's curious to know that their was only one believer who took the photo on faith compared to several skeptics who didn't ask any questions before calling it "fake". Just about all those to be called "believers" also left open the possibility that it might not be genuine.
