ToR vs. Q

they seem to be engaged in some sort of conflict. who do you think is going to triumph?

it's a hard choice i think. Q is smarter, but ToR is apparently more attractive.

i'm thinking it's at least going to be interesting to see for the next few weeks.
 
There is no such thing as triumph in such a battle. Neither is interested in victory. They are both simply doing what they do.

I'd say that ToR, at least, has the moral high ground. She actually contributes to the forums, even if her contributions are sometimes whacky and oddball. Q seems to do nothing but follow people around and criticize them. Seems like a lack of creativity to me.

So, I suppose you'd need to determine a criteria for victory.

As to interesting... nah. Pretty boring and typical, actually. It's not like she's the first girl he's chased around the forums like this. Probably won't be the last either.

Also there is such a thing as triumph. It sounds like disappointment, let me be more intimate: I believe that triumph will come when either has provent their victory. The simple fact, is that TOR is either gonna try to castrate him, or Q is gonna... beat her brains out. I'd say he makes a joke out of her.
My bad, just blabbing constantly. I hope that makes her feel better.
 
I have no problem with either Q or TOR. however, Q is a smart, more genuine, sciforums member. ToR seems like she just comes here to BS. don't get me wrong, pretty ladies are always welcome, but when up against the likes of Q, a true intellectual, she is out classed. I feel that Q has already beaten her several times, she simply wont accept it.

sorry, TOR, if you are offended by my post. I really don't have a problem with you, but I feel like I could crush you in an argument, whereas Q would be hard to beat. lets hope we continue to agree on topics =]
 
There will be no battle, I am leaving the forum. You lot can make your own deductions. When something ceases to be fun there is no point in continuing it.

Meanwhile: CottonTop and I never got on, exchanged lots of harsh words, yet he was the only one who picked up on a problem I was having and sought to reassure me. So thanks for that Cotton where ever you are. Hope you are well.
 
How does taking random snipes at people make you a "true intellectual?" As long as I've been here, I've mostly seen Q make a fool of himself. Using a bunch of sesquipedalians in your childish flame wars makes your flame wars no less childish. This to-and-fro with Tor was momentarily entertaining, but it's really just another waste. Q is much more articulate than he has needed to be since I've been here. It would be great if he actually had something to say.

Tor, if you are really leaving, it is a shame to see you go, especially if it's only because of one member.

Q's boring and uninteresting. He says the same things over and over. Being an atheist obsessed about god isn't exactly intellectual. He wishes he could be a real atheist like me. Too bad he's all caught up in dogma and stuff. Poor guy.

ToR's friendly and doesn't get nearly as worked up as Q does. Q loses because he loses control of his emotions. Friggin godfearing atheists. They give true atheists like me a bad name.

Q loses because he follows ToR around and Tor pretty much ignores him. There's not a harder way to lose than that.

Oops, just saw the little subtitle to ToR about Q. Guess I was more wrong than I thought I was.

Also to add: ToR references outside sources. Q doesn't do this, but that's because he's so busy yanking his pseudo-intellectual religious prick he doesn't actually have to worry about research. You know, because everything he blithers on about doesn't exist. What a freak.

well, that sucks if youre giving up like that. i think that as far as i can tell, you seem to have fun in the forums, sometimes i think you intentionally try to attract attention from the likes of Q to soothe your ego or something, but its easy to cast aspersions across the internet, and as i don't know you, i just sit back and enjoy you and Q inflaming each other. i don't have a concrete idea of who Q is or what he does really, but the majority of posts that i have read of his seem to make sense to me so whatever. i was sort of just hoping that you guys would battle it out in a semi-friendly or academic way. meh. back to atheists vs. cool skill i guess.

i don't get why she is so worked up about this stuff. its not like we are all friends in real life or something. this is the internet, i thought people just came here to talk and argue about shit. when did backstabbing and "feelings" and shit come into play? i declare ToR defeated i guess, considering she is now gone.

baumgartenm, my comment about "true intellectual" was meant that he peruses knowledge, not that he is articulate, compassionate, or poised. you can tell a lot about someone by looking at their first few threads. some people, myself included, tend to be rude in some situations, don't pass too swift of a judgment.
 
when i seen this thread i thought 'oh goody a xev versus invert' type of deal.
but what am i faced with? well TOR just packs up and leaves.
