The universe is not eternal

1. For one, all uranium over time turns into lead, if the universe was eternal then all uranium would be lead but it isnt.

2. If there were an infinite amount of days before today, how did we get to today?

3. Big bang

Maybe new uranium is created.

2. If there were an infinite amount of days before today, how did we get to today?

We didn't. We are where we are, and we have been here all the time, right here, in the presense.

3. Big bang

If Big bang really was the beginning of everything, what caused it?

For the uranium being created there is no evidence, if we are where we are where is yesterday? For the Big Bang I propose Intelligent Design

here. in our memory.

yeah, an "explosion" from nothingness doesn't create birds singing in the trees.., it just makes chaos. but the laws governing the universe, and the "will" within matter makes the universe follow certain geometrical laws and stuff so everything becomes close to the perfection from whence it [unvierse] came..

Uranium and other heavier elements are created in supernovas. As long as stars continue to explode uranium will be produced.

There weren't an infinite number of days. Time began about 14 billion years ago. Of course, "God" doesn't provide a solution to the problem. If God is eternal then he had to wait an infinite amount of time before creating the Universe.

3. Big bang
What about it?

The Big Bang may be uncaused, or self-caused.

the big bang uncaused? Something From Nothing? And the whole thing if God is eternal then the universe can be too! God is Supernatural Outside the Box read, " I dont have enough faith to be an atheist" very interesting book

Wouldn't it be easier and less of a strain on the mind to kinda...not care how the universe was created?

yea mind. but cool down i already know how it was "created"

i think da bid bomb theory was probably a joke or somethin

There is no such as thing as "before the big bang". You cannot think about things before the big bang because time doesn't exist. The fact that big bang happened and the universe have always existed are not contradictory.

BTW, I have read a lot of Christian apologetics recently. I have noticed that they are in general behind contemporary science by 15 years on average. They cannot keep up with the latest and greatest discoveries. If I am a dishonest person and want to make a lot of money really quick, I would be a Christian apologist.

Try the latest cyclic universe theory that explains how the universe might be infinite.

Try the bubble universe theory where there are an infinite number of big bangs in different stages – ours is just one of them.

Try the infinite parallel universe theory.

Doesn’t quantum theory answer the question of something from nothing?

The ID or creator speculation is the least credible since it requires the existence of a fantasy supernatural realm that has no precedent or evidence. Also it does not answer the question of where did everything come from – i.e. where did the creator come from and how was it created.

But why suppose the universe was created? All of science shows that nothing can be created or destroyed merely converted from one form into another. This tends to suggest that the universe must have always existed.

Yep.

Something From Nothing?
Yep.

God is Supernatural Outside the Box
Seeing as everyone who has ever lived is completely and utterly "inside the box" how can you presume to know what can or cannot happen "outside the box"?

read, " I dont have enough faith to be an atheist" very interesting book
What are you, a walking advertisement? If you think the ideas in the book are interesting bring them up for discussion and debate.

uh big bang was created because of the imbalance between matter and anti-matter, we dont have to propose any intelligent design theory here. universe isnt eternal, big bang started it. ofcourse universe could have existed before, then collapsed then big bang takes place and spawns universe once again.

Y'know, there are such things as novae. Read up on your astronomy instead of trying to over simplify things.

"Day" is only a metric created by man for man. Our "day" only has meaning here on Earth, and the Earth certainly hasn't existed for an eternity!

The Big Bang is the answer given by scientists when they haven't asked the right question. It's just a different kind of pseudo-religious theory of creation without some invented deity.

Go fornicate yourself with an iron stick.

" The universe is not eternal"

The universe is born with the mind and dies with the mind when you WAKE UP to be the EVERYTHING that your mind, fiction - thoughts, can never be.

-- just words

In other words, when I die, the universe and all that's in it just goes away. The universe is a figment of my consciousness. And every night, when I'm asleep, I get a little taste of death.

Sounds good to me.....:D
