Why Egypt Pyramid need to be a pyramidal shape?

My first proposal is because the people scare that the cloud in the sky will drop off one solid piece, so they built a pyramidal shape castle to protect the king and must be pointed at the top to crack disperse the solid cloud that will fall upon them in one day.

My second proposal is because the alien like the shape of pyramidal, it is the symbol of prosperity and royalty. Perhaps you can find some pyramid structure in other planet as well...

Because if it wasn't pyramidal in shape it wouldn't be a pyramid.

Agree. I think we try to read too much into history at times. Sometimes I think historians 5000 years from now will think we all carried small square Gods around (cell phones).

I believe they wanted to show off their talents as mathematicians and builders. They math they found out about worked well in designing this type f structure so they convinced the king to let them show him what they could do for him and he said Okey Dokey.
