Just so you will all leave me alone......
I'm working on finding a suitable picture (a.k.a. I'm not making odd faces at the camera) So lay off for awhile or you will never get to see me

pet...

Here's my pet, Joe. His shell is now about 10cm (4inches). Quite hard. Bebe's and Hot's cats can't eat him. :D

TO *stRgrL*

Double Gasps with chopped nuts, cherries and syrup. But no surprises.:D

pollux v...

...pushes back cowlick in instinctive motion preprogramed to be done in the presence of *multiple* beautiful women.

*stRgrL* , hmmm...did you think I was going to be ugly? :bugeye:
Well, anyway, you look very nice and maybe you can now take a bussload of stalkers off my hands. :D

Hoth, nice cat.
Ismu, nice turtle!

Scilo, yes it´s horrible when they die. My favourite cat was bitten to death by a dog in 1999. He was yellow and named Yoda and as fluffy as they get. :)

(laughs uncontrollably, then eventually gains hold of himself) no, no its not a bad thing, if I were roundabout twelve years older I'd be interested in a woman who is interested in science and who is also *ahem* purty.

There you go again with that " Am I nice" thing.

I suggest most of the red blooded hetties are typing with one hand as we speak :)

Pollux,
Oooh, I get it:D

Bebe,
Well... I didnt think you were ugly, I just didnt think you'd be so gorgeous:D

"Red blooded hetties..."???
Thanks, st...gosh your name is hard to type, can I call you ST? Or any other suggestions? Now how about those stalkers? How many can you handle? :D

Just kidding...:p

strgrl,
If it was a bad thing I think they're both nice enough to keep their mouths shut (which makes me concerned that I only got comments about being brave when I posted my first pic which could even be a bad sign [and only pollux noted an improvement on the second]).

Okay, since I started to type what I was going to say became irrelevant other than - despite possible selection for those who either consider themselves attractive or are brave, people are a surprisingly attractive for a bunch of people addicted to the internet. Unless they are all photoshop wizards.

Bebelina,
Sorry to hear about Yoda, that's sounds like a tough way to lose one as well (and I'm guessing it didn't live to the ripe old age Yoda did).

EDIT: I realized I didn't really remember what people had said. Not too much. I got one redhead criticism and one mental mind trick comment ... maybe I'm the one who thought it required bravery and not simply an available photo.

I was confused by the whole hetties thing too, I think it's for heterosexual. I guess some think we're turning sciforums into match.com

Sorry Bebelina, I think it's the plug jack in my arm that I use instead of a keyboard that makes me feel like I'm shooting up when I go on ... but that's just me I guess. ;)

Beb' and Sci

It does refer to heterosexuals. Well what else. ?

Meant as a complimaent to *stRgrL* I need more practise I think.

We boys don't rely too heavily on them. It's more a case of get your coat you've pulled. (That's if we speak at all  )

"And ne'er the twain shall meet!"

So it seems.

Respect my friends

Speaking of cats Chagur told me in another thread that a friend of his left out a mercury compound of some sort, and this cat from another house approached it and, well...exploded:(

But here's the tally of animals that I am accompanied by (which I'll post pics of sooner or later, as well as my surroundings, since that was my own suggestion):

2 cats-Jungle and Pepper (Pepper is my sister's cat so naturally Jungle is the better one:D )

2 dogs-jessie and simon. Simon lost the last brain cell he was priveleged to hold onto today when he inhaled a puff of nail polish from my sis. He then proceeded to sniff the window and bark at a pair of leaves that fluttered by.

2 birds-mine own! Lutino Fischers Lovebirds, named Gandalf and Galadriel. We're like distant cousins, they don't really approach me too often but we usually find ourselves singing the tune that accompanies an attractive woman that passes by.

1 iguana-bix, who is my sister's. Bix doesn't really do too much. I think she wipped gwen (or guinan as I like to call her) once. She's not full size yet.

So many animals, must be like a zoo at your home. :D Sounds great. I laughed when I read about the dog. Reminds me of a dog I had as a kid, Dino, who one day stood outside barking at a pair of boots, that obviously looked very suspicious. Maybe they smelled funny, or maybe his eyesight was failing...:)

I have this captain kirk cardboard standup thingy which scares the shit out of anyone if they don't know that it's in a room (seriously, you don't know how scary those cardboard things are until you have one). Anyway we brought him inside and Simon went berserk, barking at the top of his lungs, howling, everything, we moved him around n stuff like he was real and it made him pee all over the floor. That was really, really funny.

Yes, it is like a zoo here. None of us can go anywhere without someone in our way:D

I had a cat named Pepper, but she died (disappeared) about 4 years ago. :( Besides India we also have another cat, Daisy (about 13 years old), but I don't know if she counts as a pet since she's so afraid of people (and all other things that move) that she doesn't come by except to eat.

Here's India as a kitten with our golden retriever, uncreatively named Goldie:
