The Picture Thread Mark V

Ultimately there is death any way.

No!!! I need humans for Mars irrigation...if people eat too much trans-saturated fatty acids...they might die of before we get to planet Mars. And I need corpses to irrigate Martian land, I need nitrogen for soil...from human corpses. So people be well and eat healthy food...live long...until Mars. :D

Wow...you could make one HELL of a scary haunted house for halloween out of that place! You'd scare children so bad, they'd be scared for life. :)

Sock puppet, do you work your calves, or did you win the genetic lottery? Mine are small and stubborn, and I have to abuse them 2-3x's a week at the gym to stimulate growth.

No, I have never trained my legs for fear that they'll get bigger. My father was a corn fed Indiana farm boy and my mother was an Appalachian tom boy :D

dont eat deep fried food! It has trans-saturated fatty acids which clot the bood vessels ultimately causing heart attack and death!!!!

Draqon, people don't fry foods with oils containing trans fat. The whole purpose of hydrogenization (the process which creates trans fat) is to make vegetable oils solid at room temperature, so you can have solid vegetable spreads like margarine, which don't contain cholesterol (since cholesterol only comes from animal products). Why would you fry with margarine, or some other hydrogenized product when you don't even need something that's going to be solid at room temperature because you're going to heat it anyway! Most fried foods don't contain trans fat because of this reason.

SPP: Yeah, those are some massive legs you got there.

Puma,
For their size, the calves are the strongest muscles in the body. They are used on a daily basis (i.e. walking/running) so they are already conditioned to the repetitive motion.
They are very hard to build up.
You may already know this but if you want them bigger, you have to use more weight (if you're using the weight machines) with fewer reps. If you want them defined, you use less weight with more reps.
Calves (along with your abs) are two muscles that can be worked everyday, unlike the rest of the muscle groups that need a few days rest before they can be worked again. So whatever your gym routine is, you can add a set of calf raises onto every session.

Yeah...spp does have some serious "treetrunk" legs...I bet it's been a while since he bought "regular fit" jeans...has to go with those "super relaxed fit". :)

Good luck with that. I'm sure Sandy would post a picture of 'her' self before Sam would.

Anyway, since this is the pic thread, here's one of me playing on one of the drops at my friend Kenny's trail and mine.

Kenny and myself posing for a celebratory picture. We had just gotten done clearing out the little meadow of our trail with a launch and landing ramp. I'm the one with the receding hairline on the left.
