You need to go somewhere like that. We kayaked to a portage that led to an adjacent lake and paddled out to an island on it. It was a big lake, and we were the only people on it. Not one cabin. Not one boat. Not one soul. Not one sound except the loons and the water. It was magical.

Looks a lot like outside our cottage here in Ontario. Although everywhere up north pretty much looks the same.

i'm not from there, but i think we were in manitoba perhaps? near a town named kenora. it was soooo nice there.

LOL...Nope not Manitoba. If you were in Kenora you were in Ontario. I looked back at your pic and it said Pickerel Lake, which is in Muskoka. It actually isn't far from our Cottage.

really?!?! it was sooooo beautiful there, and the cabin they have is a family retreat, so we get to enjoy it for years to come!

manitobe...muskoka...it's all canadian to me. :p

I think some people in western Ontario are so disgusted with the Toronto Centric Ontario that they consider themselves Manitoban. Ontario is larger than, I think any European nation(twice the size of France anyway).
