OK, here's another image of her tucking into something more conventional - taken 5 minutes ago (in a rare appearance - she's never about much in this hot weather):

She is 'mine', honest! Again, that's in inverted commas. Basically, she comes here for food and the occasional rest. I expect she'll be around more in the winter.

PS: Note deficiency of tail. No idea what happened there, it was like that when I took it out of the wrapper.

I used to have a huge crush on Gary Oldman.

And Leon/The Professional used to be one of my favourite films. I must have seen it at least a dozen times.

Gary Oldman's a fantastic actor. First saw him in 'The Firm' a BBC drama about british football hooligans. Since then he's played so many different roles - Leon, Dracula, the playwright Joe Orton in 'Prick Up Your Ears - and played them all to a tee. He also directed one of my favourite films: Nil by Mouth, about life amongst working-class Londoners. It's a strange film because nothing much happens but you still can't take your eyes off it, it's that realistic, that hard-hitting and that well-written (also stars Ray Winstone, another fave).

But yes, the man has a gift, and a screen presence that few can match.
