today my favourite radio personality said that it's good that Colombia U invited him to speak. 1st, because Freedom of Speech is akbar, and 2nd, because he will finally, as the guy opined, will expose himself as the true nazi that he is, because before when he was quoted saying that he wanted to wipe Israel off the map, he kept saying he was MISquoted, and now he will be able to say that shit straight into the thousands of cameras of the American media.

that, of course, he will never do. he is here on a PR campaign. he will tone down the rhetoric, and talk about peace and justice for all. why else do you think he wants to lay a wreath "in honour" of the 9/11 victims? i hope you're not so naive or mentally damaged that you think he actually cares about them.

while he is here on his PR campaign, his special forces are killing Americans and Iraqis. while he talks about not attacking Israel, he sends money and weapons to his proxies that do. and who is there to lend a hand to legitimize him and his crap? only one of the most prestigious universities in the US.

as i posted on one Israeli news site, Mahmoud should get the Vanunu treatment. that is, he should be kidnapped, bound and gagged, drugged, stuffed in a wooden crate, and sent to Israel by ship to be interrogated.

Of couse he should be allowed to speak and answer questions, he is a legitimate leader of a powerful nation, who's involvement in the Middle East is a matter of mutual concern.
 
Exactly, it is strange that Iran is supporting the legitimate Shiite government in Iraq, and is in a position to hasten the peace process and hence the withdrawal of US troops from there, but is considered the "enemy" by the US.
 
Any satisfactory resultion to the situation in Iraq will have to involve the Iranians, since they are neighbors.
 
teh US wants an inclusive regime that represents the interests of all the groups in Iraq. that regime would be the anti-thesis to Iran's idea, as it is supposed to be peaceful, non expansionist, non aggressive, non violent and democratic.

Iran wants a puppet Shia dominated regime from which to have a base of operations to achieve its aggressive expansionist aims. to achieve those aims they are [read the opening post.. i dont want to repeat myself].

Iran is not interested in any "peace process"

Most of the "terrorism' in Iraq is from Sunnis and Saudi infiltrators. Including the ones that result in the death of US troops. Most of them are war criminals and are leftovers of Saddams troops. And they are armed by the US troops.

I think that is the main problem. Iran has the potential to become a major player in the region. Not only do they see themselves as an old and rich culture, but also have nostalgia regarding their importance in the Persian and Ottoman reigns.

The US is probably attempting to compete with Iran, without their background, their shared history and culture and shared future aspirations with the rest of the ME.

don't you see that the US interests are better for Iraq (and the world)?

come on, i know you can do it, i know you can pass judgement on the mullah's that isn't favourable.
