USA is no worse than any other country in terms of its citizenry but it's political system is a steaming pile of shit - which is a reflection on that citizenry.

As a country it enjoys more economic privileges than almost any other ,which has allowed it to also become the dominant global military power.

It thus occupies a position in the global order that it did not necessarily actively pursue but which nevertheless sits heavy on its shoulders.

This president seeks to deny the moral responsibility that comes with that position whilst simultaneously profiteering from the advantages it confers.

And the political party that must know this chooses not to provide any checks to his behaviour either from self serving fear or from being in agreement with his irresponsible approach.

Perhaps they too would like to isolate America from the rest of the world .They will find that what goes around comes around and ,when they need principled allies there will be none.

Our presidential elections are not determined by popular vote. Again, trying reading more. Maybe like this:
