Trying to explain a Creator outside the Universe is obviously a very difficult task to do as I am limited to my human comprehension of things. Although one may argue that there are no limits to the Universe, I believe that there are limits to the Universe. Think of it as a bubble shielding the entire Universe. You, me, and everything else are all a part of the Universe. We resemble each other, look similar to each other, and even communicate with each other. There have been many brilliant people who made great quotes indicating this notion of the interconnection between all things. So obviously, in my attempt to explain the Creator, I am going to have to use analogies, figurative speeches, and talk in connotations.
I still remember as a child in elementary school playing house. We used to cut up milk cartons and turn them into a small house. We would put things such as furniture and small people into our little house. We would make ropes connecting every one of the milk cartons made by our fellow classmates. There were streets, small trees, and to make a long story short, we could literally build an entire town that looked so beautiful akin to the world in of itself. Notice how during the process in which we did all of those things, we can reach into this tiny world with our fingers and hands but we could never really fully reach and interact completely in this tiny world. We would be consider “too big” to enter into this tiny world we have constructed. The things, items, and stuff that exist in this tiny world reflects us in so many ways in the same way that we humans reflect this outside Creator. Most certainly, the Creator can come in or penetrate the Universe, make tiny unforeseeable moves that can have abrupt consequences akin to chaos theory, something that even the most intuitive almost psychic-like cannot predict. The magnitude of the Creator is so huge that I do not believe it can fully enter the Universe or that if it can enter the Universe, aspects of Itself would still remain outside the Universe.
Analogous to the TV show Battlestar Galactica News Series, robots were created by humans but eventually the robots rebelled against their masters. Such a perfect, omniscient, omnipotent Being as the Creator would never be susceptible to such potential destruction concocted by its creation. I really did enjoy Battlestar Galactica because although in the earlier moments of the series, there were many references to gods or multiple gods, we can see in the final season that there truly is only just One True God. There is only just one Creator who is all-powerful, knows everything, knows exactly the right course of action, and truly is a perfect being.
Some people have made the argument that just look around you and see how everything is connected. While this is certainly true, they fail to understand that we are only seeing this through the lens of a tiny ant, learning its own environment and trying to survive. How can the comprehension of this ant be in parallel with the greater space beyond its own perception? In the same way that if we were to go back to the TV show of Battlestar Galactica, the robots had an intelligent consciousness, observed, looked around, and saw everything in its surroundings. It understood the differences between many things like cylons, animals, humans, and other things. It is even highly likely that they saw the similarities within themselves and other cylons just like them. In fact, in some ways, it even developed an ego and thought it was superior to humans. It is the same way with us humans and like watching some public broadcasting network, are told by some human scientist that we are “the top of the food chain,” that we have “greater intelligence compared to other creatures,” and that the entire human race is all just one big family. Some would even go as far as to say the inorganic things in the world are all linked to everything and everything is linked to everything. Again, this perception and comprehension is only on the basis of the capabilities and capacities limited to the human level understanding of things and its surrounding world.
A lot of people who focus on this particular area of spirituality usually tend to like to focus on the similar. So in the case of that TV show, they would say that both humans and cylons are one and the same and look alike and while this is certain true, there are distinctions that separate them. In the same way that some people would say that there is no such thing as an outside Creator because “we are one and the same” as if there is no way to differentiate between one thing and another, one human being and another, one species from another, etc. If that was truly the case, then certainly John who goes around committing the violent crimes, that there is no special “fingerprint” pointing its distinctions from his other fellow human beings like Michael, Rachel, or Sam. Would John be held responsible for his own actions or would others be held responsible? This is the very flaw in adopting the overall “everything is one” hypothesis. It is like sitting in a cognitive neuroscience class and saying that every single part of the brain is responsible for every single function and while we acknowledge that there may certainly be overlap, there are distinct parts of the brain responsible for very specific functions.
Now I am going to use a bit of my wild imagination. Parallel universes are often portrayed in TV shows such as Fringe. I am guessing that because the Creator is so huge, It must have created multiple if not countless universes. Our Universe and the things living inside of it which may also be termed as the collective consciousness of all things specific only to this universe (which some believe is God and call it the Source not believing in an outside Creator) would never know that another collective consciousness exist elsewhere in another Universe. There would be an “outline” that is a solid line blocking passage from one Universe to another Universe. Imagine other humans, angels, human-hybrids, animals, and other creatures you have never met before living in some Universe besides your own Universe. Unlike the TV show Fringe where the two universes depended upon each other and if one were to collapse the other would also collapse, I believe the many potential universes are not contingent upon each other. One universe can collapse while another universe survives.
In the same way that I go about emphasizing and perhaps teaching the distinction between the Creator and the Universe(s). The Universe(s) is dependent upon the Creator but not the other way around. The Creator can still go on even if the entire Universe(s) were to dissipate. Contrary to the notion made by certain spiritual people that the Universe is the Independent Variable, I believe this to be wrong because it is actually the Creator that is the true Independent Variable. This is how it is able to intervene in “mysterious ways” not known by that of a collective consciousness of a particular universe. Most certainly the collective consciousness or as some call it the Source can be the independent variable in its act of influencing a particular small particle such as a specific human being named John (dependent variable). Nevertheless, the Creator has a greater degree in terms of being the all-powerful Independent Variable/Constant (I include the word constant because of its unique contradictory nature designated for the Creator only whereas everything else is subject to change and degradation over time).
I would like to bring attention to many brilliant people who have talked about the belief in an outside Creator:
“This most beautiful system [The Universe] could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.” – Isaac Newton
“My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.” – Albert Einstein
"Now, God be praised, that to believing souls gives light in darkness, comfort in despair." - William Shakespeare
"At the center of the Christian faith is the affirmation that there is a God in the universe who is the ground and essence of all reality. A Being of infinite love and boundless power, God is the creator, sustainer, and conserver of values.” – Dr. Martin Luther King
“I regard Jesus as a great teacher of humanity, but I do not regard him as the only begotten son of God. That epithet in its material interpretation is quite unacceptable. Metaphorically we are all sons of God, but for each of us there may be different sons of God in a special sense.” – Ghandi
“There is an indefinable mysterious power that pervades everything. I feel it, though I do not see it. It is this unseen power that makes itself felt and yet defies proof, because it is so unlike all that I perceive through out the existence of God to a limited extent.” - Ghandi
One counterargument I am anticipating from my readers is the notion that if an outside Creator existed, then they will question where this Creator came from. This is obviously an exceedingly difficult question to answer but I have no doubt that this outside Creator exists through logical deduction in my beliefs of the distinctive power and knowledge differentials among the many differing species. It is like the way an angel can process more information than a human being without complaining about information overload. It is like the way an alien from another planet possess far greater knowledge and advanced technologies that the human brain cannot fathom or understand. This is why I feel the need to keep emphasizing distinctions in the midst of the similar-same talk babble. Therefore, attempting to answer the question of where the Creator came from remains non-answered. However, perhaps some the answers provided by those same spiritual people who enjoy doing “everything is one” rhetoric may give people the answer, the notion that “awareness came out of nowhere.” Hence, from the point of awareness came out of nowhere, emerged the Creator, and then everything else…………
