Teeth tickle during urination

When urinating do you get sensation similar to tickling in your molars\chewing teeth? It is worth mentioning that this happens when urine is held in and finally released.

If so is this phenomenon experienced by both men and women?

I wanted to make this a poll, but forgot how to do that, so can someone help me?

Simple poll will be yes or no.
 
Can't say I've noticed that, no.

The only time I might notice that is if I have cotton mouth and move my cheeks off my teeth. If that makes any sense.

Do you have fillings in those teeth? And a metal toilet? =/ Maybe not.

Yes, i have fillings in many teeth in the back of my mouth an extra long roots as well.:shrug:. As an aside, this has been happening throughout my life, it is a good sensation so i assume it is not a sign of a problem.

I've never heard of this before, are you sure it's not just that sensation of breathing in really cold air?

ummmmmm I will have to investigate further,
when done drinking my diet pepsi I will let you know.
 
This is most fascinating. My hope is that someone will read this and know that there are others who experience this.

I remember a long time ago someone telling me that their teeth itch, but i never got a chance to investigate further.

For me this is directly related to holding in my urine for a reasonably long time, then expelling (standing up).

I'll assume you really mean micturating rather than urinating. I have never heard of that but I have two hypothesis:

- There is a low level current in your toilet and the extra salt in your urine (from holding it in so long) is allowing charge to surge 'up the stream' and fillings in your teeth have a tingly response.

- When you hold it in too long, you get small bladder infections which result in nerve signals that your brain misinterprets as coming from your teeth.

No. It happens any place i go, public toilets, against a wall\tree etc. AND has happened all of my life.

Also, does anyone get shivers when they pee?

Bear in mind that neither of these sensations happen all of the time.

John, I feel the same sensation... I was talking about it to my friend today, and he said he didn't feel the same thing. It's generally when I hold it in and then go. My teeth feel very funny; it's not a bad thing, as you said.

I read a discussion on it somewhere else and from what I got from that is that it could have something to do with not breathing right. People say they get it when they have a cold or a throat sore etc..
