Main Poll Question
Technocracy is a government ruled by scientists. Democracy is a government ruled by popular opinion. Mix the two and you will have the voters made responsible for positive or negative financial outcomes of their vote.

Under Technocracy, legislation that hurts the greater good would slightly raise taxes on those who support it. Legislation that helps the greater good would slightly lower taxes on those who support it. Collective responsibility is still necessary for societal balance, so the tax incentives and disincentives need to be appropriate. But right now, their is no individual responsibility for bad voting, no individual incentives for better voting.

Do you approve of a Technocratic policy that makes voters responsible for good and bad decisions?

Extra - Meant For Thread Discussion
If so, what are some of the details that could help support and make such legislation more realistic, i.e., criteria for policy changes having this type of Technocratic tax incentive/disincentive?

If not, tell us why you think Communistic approach (collective responsibility) to Democratic Voting is better vs. Capitalistic approach (individual responsibility).

Extra - Not Meant For Thread Discussion
Lets create some examples, but try to keep things on the main topic and not derail the discussion with our examples.

An example of how Republicans would have their taxes raised based upon a clearly bad idea:

The war in Iraq was unnecessary, because it has proven it was based upon wrong intelligence. The primary supporters of the war were Republicans. Technocratically speaking, it would be fair to raise the taxes on the Republicans who have been the primary cause of bringing these extra and unnecessary costs upon America.
