TB might have killed off the other nasty bacterial disease known by the name of leprosy.

Apparently diseases can also fight each other.

That would be in the case of cancer, a more aggresive cancer. And in the case of HIV another virus targetting the same cells of the immunesystem. In neither case of course are we going to win in the end. We are just the helpless victim.
