Good for them. But they could do more if they woukd speak out on issues, as well...

Problem is lack of agreement on what is a "good purpose" Is spreading Christianity one? How about feeding starving Africans? etc. A wise Indian lady shocked me when I was young by telling how US should stop aiding the starving in India and elsewhere as that was only increasing the number who suffer in the long run.

A good purpose is one that benefits people in need. For instance, if helps people get fed in a sustainable way.

I hate the word "good". It's too subjective. I rather "beneficial". Still, what is beneficial? It's a problem that we have because of the qualitative nature of those words.
 
We have that problem in accounting all the time, coming to think of it. We can measure money, but there are a lot of other things that we have trouble measure due to their qualitative nature....

Psychology also has that problem all the time...
