It's stupid to get rid of strong players before the merge. When you start worrying about someone "being a threat" after the merge due to doing well at challanges, you weaken your team and end up voting more and more people out as you lose more and more challanges.

It reminds me of the time I overheard the coach of the team my son's team was playing in the little league playoffs. He said, "We're saving our good pitcher for the next game, because this team isn't very good." Guess what? He never made it to the next game!

Worrying about what happens after the merge before you get there is stupid. Keep your strong players. Then, after the merge, you will have the majority and can pick off the other team one by one.

Then, and only then, it's every man for himself.

I would have been pissed if they canned Ozzy. As much as he provides for Aitu and his efforts at challenges it would have been stupid, like you said. I'd want to see that team starve if they did that. Candice and the black woman are worthless. They don't deserve to outlast the better players.
I do like the Asian guy with the immunity. He, like Ozzy, isn't a trashtalker and seems like a good person, but he's threatened by and gunning for Ozzy so I can't like him too much.
Yeah, the pool table girl is gone. I'm wondering when the jury starts to build.
I couldn't have killed a tropical bird for food. I've had tropical birds. Eating one would be like eating a dog or something. Poor bird. Also a lucky bird, it got to see Ozzy going to the bathroom!:eek:
Finally the other team won. I think the black guy over there is the most pro-active positive black male on the show since I've watched! Way back in season 2!! I hope he outlasts Adam.
The merge better happen quick or The OzzManboy is doomed.:(

Genji, for two guys with complete opposite political views, we sure seem to judge people the same. The Asian guy with the immunity {Yul, I think} is my pick to win. He's smart and a hard worker. He found that immunity idol in no time. Ozzy is my second favorite, he really kicks ass at challanges.

What a crazy episode today! I couldn't believe those two jumped ship. Complete idiots. And then the girl is bad mouthing her only real ally in her new tribe and ruining any possibility of a white final four! Allan Alda's an idiot for going with her, and she's even worse for stabbing him in the back.

All I saw on a preview was everyone gets a chance at mutiny. This is confusing if one applies the real meaning of mutiny. I'm anxious to see what it all means, after work in about 2 hours.
Yul very well may make it all the way. So far I can't think of anything bad anyone could say about him as far as the jury goes. His only mistake was telling Sundra he had the idol. I wouldn't have told a soul.
I'm guessing it's Candice that jumps ship to be with Adam.

Candice and especially Jonathan just blew it. Jumping ship to the weak losing team. Candice should find comfort with Adam, someone as lazy as she is. Her sniping of Jonathan is despicable. They both deserve the boot. Soon. Seeing Brad go was a disappointment.

Even worse than despicable, it's stupid. When Johny claimed his grandma was dead, it was despicable; but brilliant. This was so idiotic, it serves to break up the "white tribe" that Alan Alda was counting on. It seems Candace was thinking only of the vote that day and trying to offer up Jonathon rather than herself.
 
Survivor Tonight! Of course I can't watch till 1am Friday Central US time but I bet the teams merge.
I needs my Ozzy fix!

OMG. I hope not. I have to leave work right now but as far as the races go the Asians and the whites have fared best with the Hispanics doing the worst, minus of course that one Awesome player. Gotta go!!!

Awesome episode. I'm glad Candice was targeted TWICE for Exile Island. Stupid bitch. Then she weepily laments that her friends don't like her anymore.:rolleyes: She committed mutiny and stabbed them in the back! Then trash talked them and filled in the enemy tribe about all their bidness!
I thoroughly dislike Alan Alda now. What a punk. I'm pleased to see in the previews he's finally pushed over the edge maybe with the lazy Raro tribe. Adam is such a doofus! That shit eatin grin and all. Him and the black guy are afraid to take a leadership position, that is sinking their team.
I thought the glass bottle would instruct the opener to pack up and move to the other tribe. Instead the mutineers dodge a THIRD bullet. It was wrong to vote out Jennie. She'll be one pissed off jury member!
Adam will go down with Candice, that's my prediction. Not in only the dirty way but the other members will flush their worthless butts. Especially if they ever merge.
I thought the islander/native greeting was scary! I would have ran. Ozzy looked like dinner being carried to the feast!
And finally I was relieved the previews showed Yul revealing to Ozzy that he has the immunity idol. That bodes well for Ozzy.
Ozzy should be on Guys Gone Wild.
Whatever Candice ate on the beach made me sick.
 
You should be thanking Candace. It was her mutiny that cemented Ozzy's position. Remember, he was on the chopping block before since his tribe was afraid he would dominate individual chalanges after the merge.

Stupid thinking, really. Wouldn't it make more sence to have such a person on your side? Would you rather a member of the opposing tribe dominate all the individual challanges?

People who go on this show should really watch it first.

True about Candice. Without her treachery Ozzy would be in trouble.
The last sentence is so right on too. People should WATCH the show before being on it.
 
Survivor tomorrow night! My DVR episode description says it's the merge too. I'll be offline from 10:30pm tonight to Monday night so keep posting madant! I'm determined to keep this thread alive! Plus, I don't have anyone to talk with about the show!
I will speculate that since we saw the preview of Yul telling Ozzy about the idol and that the merge is next on the agenda that Yul protects Ozzy from a hostile Raro vote bloc by using the idol on him or other Aitu members.
 
Very good episode. I usually think switching sides is always a bad move, but all things considered, I think Alan Alda made the right move. As Yul said, Alan Alda has now betrayed everyone in the game. This makes him the best one for Yul to take to the final two. Things are looking good for ozzy too.

Very true! Great episode. Nate was all the glue that the old Raro tribe had. Adam is too dumb to think teamwise so tossing Nate was a great move, no doubt.
Yul telling Ozzy about the immunity was a positive thing for certain.
Nate was quite pissed huh!
Yep, Alda would be the BEST person to take with a final 2 situation. EVERYONE hates him now.

A funny thing, though, is that they started the jury early which means they will have an even number of jurors. What this means, I'm not sure. It could be they plan to have the final three eligible to win instead of just two. Or maybe there will be some bysantine rule regarding ties. We'll see.

I never thought of that. Anything could happen. I personally want to see Ozzy & Yul win if that were the case. I don't fancy the idea of multiple winners though.
Maybe they'll put one jury member back in the game. If that were the case I'd like to see Jenny from Raro returned. Ohhhh was she pissed! I know Nate was too but he would be a threat.
