Space Travel Idea?

I've heard that a rotating object can create a force that is similar to gravity. What if a space vehicle was attached to a rotating disk, and it rotated so fast that it pulled the spacecraft toward it because of that force. Kind of like putting a carrot up front of a donkey's head? I apologize for my lack of knowledge in science, but this idea has been bugging me for months now.

All you have done is to move the energy from the ship to the sphere. You need to somehow use the energy that is already there where the ship is travelling.
