Sinus theory

"Despite all we know about the sinuses, there is still some debate regarding their purpose. Some people believe that they lighten your dense skull. Another theory is that they aid in voice resonance, which is one reason physicians often do not want to operate on professional singers' noses: "

The above is an extract from some medical site (can't recall where). Anyway does anybody have a link to a site that mentions the correlation between sinus volume and aptitude for singing? It's a long short but I figure someone might throw me a bone . . . thanks.

The most consistent correlation between anatomy and singing ability is that virtually all professional singers have really large mouths. Just look at how much wider they can open them than you or I can. That really affects the subtle qualities of the sound they can produce. I think the sinuses have more effect on the way your voice sounds inside your own head than to others.
