Singularity = Apocalypse?

Now the Technological Singularity may be like an apocalypse for atheist and agnostics, what with "believers" getting "rapture" into a state of transhumanism and immortality through technology and the great circuiting of the obsolete human race... but all that is not my point, I want to explore is if the singularity were to happen would religious people interpret it as the apocalypse?

Hey, I think that video is really funny, just want to spread a little humor.

Singularities are usually predicted to ~2050 and evangelicals say the apocalypse will happen by 100 years after the formation of Israel, perhaps the mark of the beast on everything could be interpreted as microprocessors in everything.
