Bwahahaha.

Now that I have read Harry Potter, I'm converting to Wicca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

...NOT

I found this site and I couldn't stop laughing.

Not once in any of the Harry Potter books to they use tarot cards, a pentagram, ouija boards, crystal balls... these people have been told by some weird preacher that Harry Potter books tell of the occult.

Now, while witchcraft may be "occult", these people in the book are supposedly Christians, they don't worship the devil or any sort of weirdo spirit. They don't do witchcraft as many would describe it (pentagrams, crystal balls, tarot cards, etc)

What's your view here?

Are Harry Potter and Pokémon really evil? I mean, seriously, out of the millions of children and adults worldwide that have read Harry Potter, many of them have since gone to church, said prayers to God and Jesus, many claim to be Christians, and probably none have taken up witchcraft. duh...

Thanks, that site is GOLD.

Can Christians play Dungeons and Dragons?

"Anyone who knows anything about the Bible, recoils in horror at such a suggestion. Why? Because we immediately recognize that this "game" would quickly enflame the powerful sex drives of the players, planting suggestions in their spirits that God condemns."

the wiccan religion does not follow "the devil" or its character, as a part of its common practice. the only time you will see it is on a tarot card, which, are not necessarily a wiccan practice, and have nothing to do wih the religion itself.

Ah, Chick Ministries

Chick Ministries ... ah, one of the true nemeses of human intelligence.

The comics come in little tracts that you can hide on shelves in stores and jam in telephone-booth coin slots. The whole point is to distribute them covertly, as if the faithful are too afraid to stand openly for their chosen deity.

Nonetheless, Chick Ministries is one of those organizations that I find so offensive that they're funny. My favorite, and it's buried in there somewhere, is this great shot of the Virgin Mary kneeling in this splatter of light with the caption reading, "... and the Holy Spirit came upon her ...."

There's also one in there about AIDS. It's so sad it's hilarious. There was an accident last week in the lab. No, you don't mean .... Yes! I stabbed myself with an infected needle; I have AIDS and will be dead in six weeks ....

And to boot, the Ministry is vocally anti-Catholic! Seriously, I advise that you take a look around this site in depth. It is Christianity at its absolute intellectual and moral lowest. Seriously ... with any luck, we'll see some change in the behavior of Catholic priests. Hell will freeze before Chick Ministries stops spreading this kind of filth.

Sometimes the benefit of free speech is that the people who create and distribute these comics merely demonstrate their own monumental stupidity.

And to think that when I saw this topic I thought you were making fun of the Harry Potter magic vibrating broom, popular with housewives as I hear it. (No joke ... that's what I was expecting when I clicked the link.)

thanx much,
Tiassa

I never directly linked these two quotes.

You know if there was a antichrist I cant imagine a better medium.
Totally discredits christians with its absurdity yet is put in such a way that I'm sure some of those with blind faith might swallow it.
Driving non christians away and potentially luring real christians from "the path".

That comic is way too ... stupid to even be scary :p
Scary that someone could actually believe that thats realistic dialog.
Notice at the end there where it claims the king james version is the only english version of the bible that hasn't been messed with by the devil :p
