Hi

I just wonder if apples and pears are closely related. They have quite alot in common: 'edible skin', white flesh (with quite the same level of crunchiness), durable (last long enough before rotting).....

Look up there latin or scientific names and find out. Here there part of the same family: Rosaceae.
