Self determination - A market driven economy

This is not really a new idea, but more a rediscovery of old concepts and a little re-think on them.
When talking about free will and self determination we obviously come up against the sheer fact that in absolute terms if every one were to be absolutely self determined we would have a world of utter chaos and conflict.
"That's my chair to sit in!" "No it's not that's mine" sort of conflict where every one declares an unalienable right to self determination regardless of others self determination.
Obviously this is part of why we have so much conflict in the world today in that one entity is exerting a greater right to freedom over another.

It is also obvious that self determination is able to be bought or exchanged or purchased in the form of employment, co-operation, shared leadership, friendships and relationships.

A sort of stock exchange exists globally where by people trade and barter in free will and freedom.

"I shall drop my right to self determination if you will provide such and such as compensation."
"I shall work for you if you pay my wages or salary and let me share in your profit from my work"

There is no doubt that this exchange is a floating variable and the value of each persons "compromise" is determined mostly on merit but more importantly on self esteem and ego.

Summary:

To co-exist as many individuals a system of "self determination" or "free will" trading must exist.
The loss of freedom for a price.
The loss of freedom to buy freedom later.....[holidays to the coast for example]

I wish not to make any grand statement but merely see how the concept of SD trading sits with others and whether or not is has value as a line of enquiry philosophically.
