Sciforums Quotes Thread

As opposed to a machine that you sit in but can't control. Read the thread.
Some rich context is missing from that quote. String isn't abusing his power as much as Fetus is suggesting, if at all.

I didn't think I was suggesting much, I quoted that because I found it humors not that I actually found it valid for an argument on superstring01 painful descent into corruption and decadence.

Actually, the GOP's base voters are obedient, sheep-like fools who make a regular pilgrimage to the polls to cast their vote against the Democrats (who are all Jesus-hating, unsaved socialists from Europe who abort babies and encourage drugged-up, homosexual pedophilia under the sanction of mad scientists (who all deny the existence of God while smoking pot because they want to take over the world (which could be their only possible motive for denying the moral authority of God, since anything goes if there is no authority there to scold you for being naughty and unChristian (which is not at all contradictory with the fact that they consider the overwhelming majority of scientists to be so tight-assed that they tend to shit diamonds on a regular basis (because we all know that they all husband egotistical fantasies of creating a vast army of clones of themselves and enslaving the entire human race (but they will never succeed because the followers of Christ glory God and the Lord, Jesus Christ, hallelujah, through their faithful and totally uncritical support for the GOP (therefore, you stupid liberals should show more gratitude toward all those hard-working conservatives who are really the only thing standing between you and being oppressed and murdered by the evil clones of unborn-baby-aborting, homosexual, pedophilic, test-tube-baby-frankenstein-monster-creating, terrorist-loving, evil bad guys (PRAISE THE LORD!!!)))))))).

I love Redarmy11's posts too!

I as well.

Here's a favorite, directed at me...

First Woody. And now Morrissey's back.

Maybe they're one and the same.

Lou Natic: Senior Popcorn Researcher.

This thread is hilarious. Nobody realize yet somebody here is being sarcastic all the time. :roflmao:

And who's that, inzomnia?

We're all popcorn fanatics here.

On there is an alien bust for like 300 bucks, I want it!

AlienL.jpg

I question how much it is, the ad says 300 but the picture says 140 :(

No you don't. You only think you do.

Once you've got it you'll be, like, "wtf? What on Earth possessed me to spend $300 on this piece of crap!?!?"

Sooo... realise this now... and save yourself all that money.

It is capitalism's job to manufacture artificial needs for all kinds of shoddy, useless garbage. Your mission, should you to choose to accept it, is to peer beyond its shabby curtain and to realise that all the lights and the sparkle and the glitter are the work of, not some wonderful wizard, but a sad, cold-eyed, mean-faced old man in a business suit.

darksidZz, I want you to step behind that curtain and I want you to drive a long knife into his cold, dark heart.

In my gardening poll, this...
Haven't the time.

I'm always too busy making popcorn.

Why in Heckus' name did he up and leave?

Israel leads the way in democracy - not just in the Middle East, but in the world. It's in many respects at the forefront.

I believe that was my dose of comic relief for the day!

Oh wait.. no.. there's one more..

Israeli treatment of its Arab residents is respectful on the institutional level where laws are made and governing is done, and on the street level of people interacting with people.

I thought it was hilarious how they held their own opinion in such high esteem and mocked those who differed! The funniest part to me was how they've never been there and interacted with people...yet they were so confidently assured of their correctness! :xctd:

Such as such is for the such-and-such? (Plus: A bonus Bon Jovi quote!)

I don't know what to tell you, Bells. The gentleman, such as he is or might be, will not be joining us again ... as such.

But, then again, it was Jon Bon, was it not, who advised—

It's all the same; only the names have changed.
Every day, it seems we're wasting away.

—so we'll see what tomorrow brings. And the next day. And the one after that. And so on. As such.

Here's a good one from Dyxxxxxx:
Hmm, if I'd never been born...

Mankind would have achieved world peace by now*.
Hunger and poverty would have been conquered*.
The first interstellar faster-than-light expedition would have returned last week and announced that there's at least 50 different alien races all of whom want to meet us*.
Inane topics would receive short order on Sciforums.
Someone else would be living in the premises I currently occupy.

* PS, I don't feel in the slightest bit guilty for these. You guys just didn't put in the necessary effort. :p
