if sin is inherent in our flesh, then it is the equivalent of a birth defect. and if the wages of sin are death, then the removal of it would result in eternal life.

it's just a matter of rectifying our dna.

logistics? i don't know. but it's the story of christ, his church, and communion.

this defect (sin) hinders our communion with god and each other. if the defect is removed, our communion will be restored. see? :)

If it was a matter of defective DNA, then people with Downs syndrome would always be more sinful than perfectly formed Hollywood actors.
Off thread, so I'll not post on the subject again.

If we aren't perfect then god isn't perfect either as he creates us in his image.
So either he succeeded, or he failed. In either case he's not perfect.

god knows good and evil. now we do too.

Different thread, but your theology is confused.

no, no, no. that's obviously not it. everyone is born into sin. i don't recall the bible saying that only people with downs syndrome are born in sin. we all have this defect.

But he didn't mean for us to know it, apparently. Don't you think that's weird ?

yes he did. he doesn't want us to follow law blindly or under his command. if we understand the consequence of transgression is suffering and death, then we will choose to follow law voluntarily. hence his command becomes our will.

i don't know about heaven and hell, i'm here. i can certainly see that if you were to extrapolate the good from the bad, it would seem like you would have a heaven and a hell right here on earth.

BUT, i am no judge.

all i know is what god has done with me, and what i described to you in that previous post is exactly what he's done with me.

in general, i do not think that salvation is dependent upon following a bunch of rules you don't understand, or even those you do understand. i think that salvation is dependent upon having a relationship with god.

From what I gather, Oli is here pretty regularly, then storms off in a mood, swearing he's never coming back, only to reappear some months later.
Ah, I see that fantasies and rumour catch on better than truths on this forum.
Never mind...

Either you are God's good dog, or God's bad dog.
God will let you know which you are.

Of course I don't want to be God's bad dog, but sometimes you get your nose into some exciting smell trail and forget that your master is calling.

You didn't answer the question.
