God explains that in several thousand years the Middle East will include hundreds of millions of Arabs who hate Jews, while there is a place to be called Austrailia which is populated only by peace loving aborigines. This is why god caused Moses to head toward the Red Sea rather than along the Meditteranean coast to Judea. The argument delays any action until the Egyptian army arrives & god must part the Red Sea to allow the Israelites to escape.
