Sandusky trial bets

Right , he goes into prison where men and boys can meet in the open showers once again. That's a fitting punishment isn't it...

Well, generally pedophiles are not treated very well in prisons, so he might get what he deserved... I am still amazed nobody shot him....

Judge allows defense to argue Jerry Sandusky has psychiatric disorder.

Jerry Sandusky's defense will be allowed to call an expert witness to testify that some of his behavior and letters to young boys are manifestations of a personality disorder and not evidence that he was "grooming" the boys for sex, the judge in his child sexual abuse trial ruled Friday.

Sandusky, 68, the former longtime defensive coordinator for Penn State University's football team, is on trial on 52 counts alleging that he abused 10 boys over 15 years. Two grand jury reports accused him of having used his connection to one of the nation's premier college football programs to "groom" the boys, whom he met through his Second Mile charity for troubled children, for sexual relationships. He has denied all charges.

Defense lawyers this week filed a motion seeking permission to introduce expert testimony from a psychologist that Sandusky has "histrionic personality disorder."

It is still not too late to bet people. I think I heard something this morning, that the max. sentence he could get is 20 years, so do your research and take your position.

Great prizes for the winner!!!!

Well, this is the 2nd day of the jury working hard. 3 counts were thrown out before the deliberation but still:

"Even with Thursday’s action, Sandusky, 68, still faces 48 criminal charges of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year-period. After the Thursday action, he faces nine counts of the most serious charge, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison."

Updated at 10:26 p.m. ET: BELLEFONTE, Pa. — Jerry Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse Friday night and faces spending the rest of his life in state prison.

Sandusky's attorney, Joseph Amendola, asked Judge John Cleland to allow Sandusky to be released on house arrest, but Cleland summarily rejected the request, saying: "Bail is revoked. Mr. Sandusky is remanded to the custody of the sheriff."

Sandusky was immediately led out of the courthouse in handcuffs as a large crowd of onlookers cheered.
