Oh thanks a lot! it was giving me a head ache
:)

Still 27 if you restart the alphabet

What is a 'cooper'? Every other word describes a thing or substance, but cooper
is the oddball. If a 'name', it should have been capitalized.

A cooper is also a craftsman who makes or repairs wooden barrels or tubs.

I still think knife, but I'll think about it some more and see what I can come up with tomorrow morning (assuming it isn't solved by then).

Jinoda and Oxymoron are right. But the reason was all the other things were barrel related bar knife

It's always 1 to 6,
it's always 15 to 20,
it's always 5,
but it's never 21,
unless it's flying.

What is it?

I might be on the right track with a dice.

A dice has the numbers 1 to 6

If you roll a dice and count up the sides that are showing (excluding the side that is faced down) you always get a number S such that 15 < S < 20.

20 = 2+3+4+5+6
15 = 1+2+3+4+5

The sum of all the showing sides never exceeds 20 and so never 21.

But I don't get the "always 5" bit. And certainly the flying bit.
Maybe someone could help out or maybe I'm completely wrong.

Since it isn't "flying" I'm going to say that the "it's always 5" refers to the numbers of sides showing when it's on the ground.

I'll be back later if I can figure out how "flying" makes it 21.

edit- I'm an idiot. If it's flying then all the sides are showing = 21 :confused:
