Often from a view of liberal western attitudes towards pornography it is puzzling why religions such as Christianity and Islam are so uncomfortable with sexuality especially pornography.

I suppose it's worth going further and ask why are people in general also awkward when it comes to sexuality in general?

Attitudes towards contraception, abortion, propagation, permissiveness, promiscurity, etc. etc. are rather diverse I think?

Is there a deeper meaning than just the denial of sexual pleasures.

Is it a way of keeping people focussed on the loftier pursuit of the devine being asexual?

Is God a-sexual?

If you look at all the known life forms on Earth, you will see them have sexual, a-sexual, bi-sexual, homo-sexual, and even trans-sexual behavious. So hard to tell if God is a-sexual or multi-sexual.
 
I might be wrong in saying that of all the life forms we know of Mankind is the only one with a perception of God or an awareness of the arguement "God"

M*W: I understand and totally agree with what you are saying, but I want to add that, God could be asexual, but I tend to think of God as being androgynous--the perfect sexuality to which the human race is evolving.

Injeel was holy, not this Bible. This Bible admits that there have been changes on it, men made. Read KJV and they have it on its preface.

Not only did David do the wild thing with a married woman at his whim (not to mention that he sent her husband to his death when he found out she was pregnant with his child), he had earlier engaged in a homosexual affair with King Saul's son, Jonathan!

Saul's accusation against Jonathan:
