Stupid title... eh?

Anyways, i did a Beliefnet.com quiz... what religion do you closely resemble or whatever...

Your Results:
The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

How did the Belief-O-Matic do? Discuss your results on our message boards.

Im an atheist so i guess its not too far from the truth really.
On reflection it seems unitarian universalism has such diverse beliefs i wonder why they bother putting it in the list, but secular humanism is pretty much me, i shall have to remember that in future.

Heh. At least I was able to relegate my inner Mormon to the 11th place. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I also see that my time spent liberally playing Quake has bore its fruits. Go figure.

Ok, I do not really think that the result is correct. Nowhere did I choose anything spiritual, hence I cannot really be a Unitarian Universalist, disregard it and I have no problem with the topmost results (secular humanist and nontheist)

Read the info on the site about Unitarian Universalism, it says beliefs vary, so generally most people will fit into it, which is probably complete crap, would be easiest just to ignore it if thats how they define it.

From what I understand, Unitarians don't believe Jesus is God, but just someone very special. It was founded by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Universalists believes that God reaches everyone through different ways, different cultures, and different languages.

Universalist then merged with unitarian and become UU. However UU originally not only believe in God but Christian God. It was based on Christianity.

Most people here don't believe in "God". They are not UU's. I think most posters here are secular humanists.

One problem with the quiz is that it did not account for anybody who strongly believes in the rational, secular and non-spiritual view of the Universe, because those options were all lumped in with "or doesn't apply or doesn't matter". Which I found increasingly annoying. Obviously, I'm not a UU either.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years,
How would men believe and adore;
And preserve for many generations
The remembrance of the city of God...
