Rap is Primitive? using the best studios and the most technologically advanced music technology, and primitive don't go together. Could you make a case that "Rap" music lacks melodic content? yes, Avatar I also saw you say something about the four seasons by vivaldi? One of the most primitive of all classical masterpieces, try listening to Stravinsky, Schoenberg, Debussy, Ravel, or for a matter of fact John Coltrane, much greater hamonic, melodic, and rythmic depth, than four seasons by vivaldi cheesefest. Although YOu do make me laugh because your so musically stuck up, but you probably don't know anything about music!! Let me guess your second favorite classical piece is Symphony #40 by mozart or fur elise by Beethoven!! LoL Just so you now Classical music is only one period of what we define as "Classical Music" What Bartok or John Cage, or stravisnky do has absolutely nothing in common with the music of Beethoven, or Mozart.

Actually my second favourite one is music by Brahms.

Technology alone is nothing, you could give it all to some gorilla and I doubt you'd get out something listenable from it. Coincedally that is the impression I get from rap (which is not music) - a bunch of howler monkeys which have gotten hold of some sound equipment.

p.s. There is also neoclassical music and Bjork is one of my most favourite musicians.
As for not knowing anything about music, I write reviews for this website: http://piparmetra.net/muzika

Rap is the number one music on the planet of earth. There is no denying that rap is outdoing, and outselling any genre of music in history.
As rap music, it gets more melodic. No genre of music can compete with it. The closes thing that ever came to rap is they type of opera where they go fast.
As wack as they are, rap is moving into new heights that any other music cannot handle.

Rap is very primitive and must have been a way the first humans in Africa started to make "music".

It is always interesting the way history can repeat it'self.

Rap is not "primitive."
African Americans were not only the ones who made rapping popular, but they were also the ones who started rock'n'roll and jazz, albeit they didn't get the credit for it.
Other bands, with white people, would do covers of their music, so it appeared that white people made that music more popular, but it was truly the blacks.

Rap is not music?

Music is:
* "an artistic form of auditory communication incorporating instrumental or vocal tones in a structured and continuous manner."
* "an art, entertainment, or other human activity that involves organized and audible sound."
* "the organization of sounds with some degree of rhythm, melody, and harmony."
* "sounds and pitches organized in time to create a chosen artistic or aestetic statement."
* "the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre."

And don't shove your review crap at anyone.
Nobody cares.

Just because you hate rap doesn't mean that it is not a form of music.
Don't you listen to the lyrics ever?
A lot of rappers have very inspiration words to say.
Not all, but a lot of them.
