Propellant tree to find another habitable planet in the future

PROPELLANT TREE
--------------------------------

A propellant tree is a spaceship with plants planted in one of its parts. In this way we will have: food, oxygen and fuel. The fuel would be the dry leaves and the dried stems.

In this way the food, oxygen and fuel are perpetual, because to burn a dry plant and turn it into gas, will be also born another new plant.

The propellant will be compressed smoke...Patent pending.

Kind regards,

You're slipping up guys. The other victor threads at least had a semblance of realism. This one, not so. You gotta put a bit more thought into them than this.

And how you want to explore the universe? With canned food.

I want several coffee plants.

PROPULSOR ÁRBOL
-------------------------------------

THIS SHIP IS PERPETUAL

The Spanish too, is getting a bit tired. All in all, this is NOT on of the better psuedopsuedoscience threads. Also, has rather lost entertainment value.

Which entertainment value, I'm talking about seriously.

Oh I don't know, a wood burning interstellar space craft presented as a serious idea is pretty entertaining....

I thought I had already heard the worst idea ever.
I was wrong.
This is even worse.

Plants, Victor, grow by taking Carbon Dioxide molecules from the air and converting them into sugars.
Wood, for example, is made out of polysaccharides, complex sugars.
Without the Carbon Dioxide, plants cannot grow.
Now, here's the flaw in your almost perfect plan.
Space, being a near vacuum, has no carbon dioxide.

And how you think you eat if your planet is dead? With recycled food!

And how you think to breathe when oxygen tanks runs out you?

And how do you think push yourself when the fuel runs out you?

I think that my idea is great, for someone who dies will his planet.

Oh, one extra flaw.
Plants need energy from sunlight in order to make the Carbon Dioxide into sugars.
Stars are very very very far apart.
How will the trees grow in interstellar space?

Without doubt, this is the worst idea you have ever had.
Possibly it is the worst idea anyone has ever had.

The human eye is being developed. Soon we will see the energy that we know exists but we don't see it today.

To see the energy we will understand it and are going to be able to know to use without a Sun or a star.

Trees don't use this supposed energy, they use sunlight.
Otherwise you could grow a plant in the dark, couldn't you?

mumble.......this is like talking to the wall....might as well agree......mumble.....

The light is not energy is a brightness. The Sun emits what energy and the energy creates the brightness.
