Political Parody Pervert Protagonist Purchase Problem

Hello readers,

I'm toying with the idea of buying the DVD of the BBC political satire 'The Thick Of It' but I'm troubled by the fact that the star Chris Langan has a conviction for possession of child porn. I don't want to put money into the pocket of a convicted pervert and can't really face the idea of watching him on the TV... but at the same time would really like to see the series, which I've (by chance) seen clips of and liked, and which has excellent reviews.

I'm torn, dear readers. Should I swallow my distaste for Langan and immerse myself in what, by all accounts, is an excellent comedy, or should I forget any ideas of ever watching it? I could just buy it on eBay - hey presto, no royalties for child-lovers (as they prefer to be called these days - did you take a good look at that site?) - but that doesn't solve the problem of me losing track of what's happening onscreen because I've let myself be distracted by what a weasel Langan is. What should I do? What would you do?

Edit: I wonder if Save the Children are aware they're being funded by paedophiles?

...forget it all. Move out of UK and thus forget the child molesters and movie industry and thus all these problems will be gone.

Or...change yourself so that these movies and UK media does not interest you anymore...forget about child molesters and live a new life. So that you are not torn apart. Become a priest.

This is THE solution

Fuck off. :)

Start by buying a new frickin' keyboard and take it from there. Or just avoid using any word with a p in it,

eg "helP" > "assist"

If it bothers you that much, fuggedaboutit.

Otherwise just think of your portion of the money being the one that he gives for taxes and which ultimately helps improve the lot of the world (or whatever it is they do with taxes)

It bothers me that much. I think I may have to fuggedaboutit. It pisses me off that I can't enjoy a good TV programme just cuz he can't keep his paedo hands to himself though. It's not so much the thought of putting money in his pocket - like I said, it'd probably be an eBay job anyway. It's more the thought of looking at his degenerate face.

What would Athelwünf do? What would you do?

I'd get it used, watch it, sell it and fuggedaboutit.
