Philosophically speaking...

fairy is a mini-feminine creature, with wings, that grants wishes to good boys and good girls. Fairies are part of a Celtic Culture and mainly are in Yorkshire woods looking after goody boys and goody girls and taking care of the forest by casting magical shining lights and colorful rainbows with little pink ponies.

Yorkshire woods?
Where do they hide these "Yorkshire woods"?
Lots of open moorland, fairly hilly but Yorkshire isn't particularly noted for its woodlands.

From this it's obvious that fairies do exist and are gay.

not anymore...all the Industrialization of 19th century really depleted their population. Heavy Polonium radiation settled in and they are now experiencing a mutational gene crossing.
