Particle charge and osmotic pressure

For a Biology lab I am supposed to design experiments testing what effect particle charge has on osmotic pressure when using dialysis tubing for the semi-permeable membrane. I was wondering however, what effect is it supposed to have and why does it have that effect.

When there is a region of concentrated like charged particles they will be repelling each other. If they are prevented from moving away from each other by the semi permeable membrane then the water will be forced through the membrane by their electrostatic force.

Unless this is a trick question which I'm not getting due to no zzzzzzzz.
