Well, I don't like to help people out of their dream...
Skeptic's defenition:
"An Ouji board is claimed to be a wooden board used whit a glass, to summon higher powers or ghosts"
Average/Dreamer's/Alto's/Wiccan defenition:
"The Ouji board is a board to call ghosts and spirits, you have to do as they please whitin the confronsation, or there can happen horrofying things in your life"
My *and some other* defenition:
"The Ouji board was supposed to call spirits and higher powers,
It is in fact some sort of higher power, your own power.
Your unconsious moves the glass to reply to the consious mind.

Well Pollux V, I belive we did have a fast talk about this in an other thread.
As far as I know it was Tristan's Psycokinesis Thread.
We just did a few little messages, not a lot.
I join a theory that it is our unconsious mind interacting.
It works like a pendel or hipnosis was said...
I think I still have a file of the *how to abuse hypnosis* text.
Back to the psycokinesis thread:
It was not to my knoweledge yet, but I was somewhat skeptic to the ouji board in some ways.
I askingly suggested that maybe whit hypnosis, we could tap in our unconsious power.
People appear to try it some times, but in fact it did happen.
Not realy psycokinesis or such things have been accomplished yet.
You, me *if ever* or other people can try the ouji board, and ask things you did a pendel.
maybe it can reply in a more precise or interactive way.
Because the average pendel is limited to awnser whit: yes, no, I don't know & I can't say.

Well that answers my question. I'm sort of a half and half-I keep an open mind but I don't believe everything I hear.
As I intended to write before I had one brief experience with the Ouija board which scared the sh*t out of me. It shouldn't have but it did.
We went into a playground across the road with a friend or two and started screwing around with it, and sure enough after only quivering it started saying (after we asked it who it was) TG. We asked it how old it was and it said 55 (it stayed on the 5 and we asked it if it was 55 and it said yes). Nothing really interesting happened after that and I was really freaked out so I decided to stop without even saying goodbye-I left my sis and friends to go home. The board is now inside this butt-ugly basket on top of one of our coffee tables.
Maybe I'll use it again in the summer.

We concluded that information somehow gets passed from one person in the group to others who are touching the device. Is there telepathy involved, I do not know. Outside influence like ghosts or spirits? definitely not - since if the information is not available, one gets a 50/50 reply (yes/no, head/tail).

An Ouija board is no toy. It can drive you literally insane if you are unstable and believe you really have contact with the spirit world.
The only things you can get out of an Ouija board are things from your own or someone else's subconsciousness.

My mind is always caught up sooner or later whit the consept of cause and effect.
Try to think this.
If you would contact a spirit, ANY, and I litteraly meen ANY spirit at all.
Why would it be a person knowing you and speak YOUR language?
By telepaty?
If there are *not alien, cause of the mis-understood meening* extra terestrial spirits on earth, maybe for their first day, how can they communicate whit A earth language, esspecially yours?
Or how can an Animal spirit communicate in an intermadiate to advanced way in your language?
I always have a theory, but in time - an hour to even a year - I always get further by logical thinking.
The more you can get from that theory, the more the awnser becomes a constant and the question a variable.
If you have a question, mostly 1 or more solutions can pop up out of 1 thing.
But begin whit the out come, and the question or cause can differ from it.
So the most logical to me is my theory.
Just go trough all the things possible and half possible.
Count the odds what are mostly assosiated, and get rid of those.
Then the other awnsers maybe you did not see in the beginning, will get clearer to you.

i have a stroy a true one about me and my Quji board
well i was at a garage sale and i found an old quji board and it was only 50 cents so i bought it because it was so cheap. i had used one before with friends a few years ago so i knew how to use it. well i brought it home and called a few friends ordered a pizza and waited untill dark . dark came and we made a circle of candles and made it a magic circle sealed it and so forth . Well we waited and waited and as wax dripped on the cement basement floor i was getting bored. it was late and i was geting tired. Then....silly me i realized i closed the circle so no spirts could come in,,,duh...silly me. so mi told my friends and we sort of laughed at or own forgetfullness so we opened the circle and waited more. nothing happened then i realized that i had put many protection spells on my house so i laughed at my forgetfullness again. and we all stay over at my house it was late and we started to play video games and fell asleep ...a few days later we tired at my friends and i was really energetic to see my board work now, i was like yeah! so we started and after a little bit it started to move we made contact.we asked it's name was Clyde and it was a male so we asked were he lived and he said he didn't remember, so i asked hes last name he didn't remember and said he doesn't know were he is and he was clueless to that he was a spirt he got angry and said " i boy " i said when did you die he said he didn't so i was interested in this i asked all my good friedns if they were moving it they were most of them were really scared i told them not to be affraid it only gives te spirt power so they clamed down and my note taker* the person who takes all the nores of the spirt said look he keeps using the m's alot for no reason so i asked him why he said mother i said were is she he said away so i got alittle frightened my self i asked the kid who owned the house a friend of mine if any one died in the house like maybe in there sleep. he didn't know ,it was an old house though..his parents werent't home so i couldn't ask them and the kid started to remember he saw a boy once when he was little in his room once and played with him but he said he didn't remeber to well almost like a childhood dream i asked him what did he look like he said he doesn't remember the face but the boy had blue clothes ..so then we tired to tell the spirt that it was a spirt and he left and got mad,.. so we let him alone for awile a few days and tired again i realized the energy from my friends being scared got the spirt more powerful and started to make noise in my friends house so my friend left and spent the nightm at my house for awhile...err... i will finnish the story but not now iam alone right now and remembering this is giving me the chills and i keep looking over at the kithen so i will writew back.....bye!

I used to have one a while ago. . . well probably still have it around here somewhere. Used it a lot with friends when we were kids, and we were bored. It was never any fun unless one of our friends decided to take it upon himself to move it for us, otherwise not a whole hell of a lot happend, hell we even took it to our neighborhood's supposidly haunted house (Doesn't every neighbhorhood have one?) but still nothing much came of it untill one of us started to controll the answers, and then we'd usualy figure it out when the ghosts couldn't spell worth a damn, or the answers tended to be "Fart" or "Boobie" 9 times out of 10.

Toy shops used to sell them as games back in the 50's, but they were banned.
Who knows if it's the sub-concious or not, but I agree with Banshee, don't play round with them as you don't know what you're letting in.
The spiritualist church will warn you away from them as well.

It really doesn't matter to me if you want to experiment with the board.
Go for it - see what happens...
Experts (Scientific types) have said that 9 times out of 10, you'll probably be quite safe.. but there have been too many accounts of people being hassled afterwards by entities.

that one ouija board i got when i was little is in the closest i think i have been useing the one i made in 9th grade shop class, my teacher was a catholic and when i was making the board he was always a jerk to me he even asked me what religion i was and because i didn't want to say wicca and explian to him i said that i didn't belong to any and he yelled out "your an atheist!" i said no no no i mean i do not have a religion and he said " any on here catholic?" and a kid said "yeah i am." and the teacher said "good extra credit to you .. and any other catholics...." grr he really did guve them extra credit i thought he was just joking but when the the catholic kid that was absent most the time and wasn't done with his cutting board *i choose to make a Quija board* and he wasn't even as far as me got an -A and i got a D *iam not saying that it was because of my religion but it was very strange *me being an A/+B sudent.....grr... i hated that class....But the board works good.....it's a hobby of mine to deal with anything that is occult ..... since i was little...Bye ...
