Just been to mah local librararary, and I got these 4:
  • J. Englishman - Poor Li'l Rockstar
  • Finger Eleven - Tip
  • Moist - Creature
  • Rage Against The Machine - Battle Of Los Angeles

* The 'mah' you read there is from listening to RATM too much... :D

Battle of L.A. is a great cd. Right up there with Evil Empire.

I just finished a new cd and thought I'd post it;

1) Born on the Bayou - Creedance Clear Water Revival
2) Martha My Dear - The Beatles
3) Airbag - Radiohead
4) Fully Completely - The Tragically Hip
5) Roadhouse Blues - The Doors
6) Chubb Sub - Medeski, Martin & Wood
7) I'm Only Sleeping - The Beatles
8) One More Saturday Night - The Grateful Dead
9) Ahead By A Century - The Tragically Hip
10) Angie - The Rolling stones
11) Electioneering - Radiohead
12) Philly Cheese Blunt - Medeski, Martin & Wood
13) Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles
14) Vanilla Sky - Paul McCartney
15) Touch of Grey - The Grateful Dead
16) Bubblehouse - Medeski, Martin & Wood

I think this is probably one of my favourite cds to date. I love the opening with Bayou and in general just enjoy the flow. Martha turns into Airbag almost perfectly, the transition from Fully Completely to Roadhouse is flawless and I can't even explain the sound of that turning into Chubb Sub. And the last four songs work excellently together.

Everyone here probably knows every song on that cd except for the Medeski, Martin & Wood. I strongly advise anyone to download Chubb Sub and Bubblehouse - both very cool songs!

Rage is frelling awesome! :D Their lyrics are so image based, and so true. The heavy beats and bass really pound the sound into your head. "Ashes In The Fall" and "New Millennium Homes", definitely for the download! :)

Creature by Moist is what I'd call an intelligent album. Smooth melodies, and an added edge because of David Usher's voice. "Tangerine" and "Disco Days" is a work of art. :)

Finger Eleven really disappointed me. Besides the one recognizable tune "Above", the rest seemed dull and repetitive. No songs really struck me as original, and they seemed stiff after "Bones and Joints" and "Drag You Down". Sad...or maybe I wasn't listening enough.

Poor Li'l Rockstar by J. Englishman: haven't listened to it yet, but I've heard the first song. Sweet contemporary jazz vibes. :)

it feels like what I require from a good trance- to feel electrical energy flow up my veins

The best track on this CD is definitely "Ophelia", which combines a hard-hitting guitar line and some catchy vocals to produce a very "un-Moist" sounding song. For once, the emphasis is not just on Usher’s over-emotional, whiny, self-pitying vocals. Overall, a very good disc.

Peace.
