My drivers license has 'Hazel' as the eye color.

If one had to describe them as either blue or brown, the simple answer would be brown.

Other people have told me that my eyes change color with my energy level and mood, sometimes looking quite green but they are not a distinct green.

Depending on what I choose to wear, I can emphasize the brown or the more changeable green/golden tints.

I usually emphasize the brown because it is more calming to people. From much experience with animals, I have found that a direct gaze (not staring) can be unsettling to dogs, horses, birds and humans.

Though I do not follow astrology, I have researched it somewhat and the mere mention that I am a Scorpio is usually enough to cause alarm in some, lol....:D

Interesting to observe people and the things they react to.

I like your answer Pandaemoni, and I quite agree, eye color is random genetics, nothing more.

Still, I take advantage of complimentary colors because our species has such a knee-jerk reaction to so many things, without even understanding why.

My eyes are chocolate brown but I would have loved to have brilliant blue like nicolas cage in ghost rider. Those jewel like sparkling bright blue eyes - I wish I had them.

Dark. So brown or green.

Yes, extremely dark brown eyes are black unless looked at under a light. And to all - eye colour is list nose shape or chins - it suggests somethings about the person, even that it may not be representative of actual traits.

My eyes change color depending on the lighting, what would that be under?

Enhanced. :)

Would that be under artificial or natural light?

Personally, I think all eye color is best assessed under natural lighting but even then that will be variable to some degree depending on the season and location theoretically.

Both, it seems to depend mainly on the angle of the light hitting my eyes, but natural light tends to produce the most vivid colors(such as a brilliant shade of green when my eyes are normally either brownish or blueish).
