Has there ever been a study on OCD playing a part in zealotry? :shrug: I would think religion would be comforting to some people with OCD. There are rules and rituals, etc. that make life choices easier.

There certainly have been.

But no, people with OCD do not actually find religious activities to be comforting, even though they hope they would, just the opposite.

The combination of religiosity and OCD is known as scrupulosity.
Scrupulosity is not a healthy form of religiosity.
