NY City Hall Shooting

i posted this when the story was still all fresh and new, since then it appears that the killer was a political rival of the council man and not an assassin, and there may have been blackmail involved, but still, does it warm anyones heart to see spacific targeted killing instead of random sensless shooting sprees?
 
as this case unfolds, it reminds me more and more of stanford white and harry thaw. not the details but the feelings behind the crime.
