Don't believe everything that people send you, this supposed quote is a hoax.

However the rest of my post was real.

There are some simple actions that can be taken to prevent airplane hijacking. They are:

1. Remove all 90 pound stewardsess and replace all of them with hulking, black belt stewards with weapons training. Basically have the cabin personnel as security force. That will cut down knife weilding terrorists.
2. Everyone who boards a plane should have a plane passport that has been issued by police after a through background check - no exceptions. This way, there is no need to do luggage check or airport security. In otherwords, board only reliable people, rest can take the train or bus.
3. Verify the person boarding the plane is the right person through fingerprint scans.

I hate to be an ambulance chaser, but in the wake of this tragedy, world economy will pick up due to a lot of activities in the security area. Another benefit is that the governments of different nations will start talking because everyone has a few big towers with large corporations in them. It is sad that many people had to die to galvanize the world community.

This will accelarate world government idea where everybody will work together to prevent this short of thing and to clamp down rogue governments.

However if it is a war between Christians and Moslems, then we all are screwed.

Nostredamus was a frenchy jew he was a doctor
and his entire family died and he could not cure them.
he went crazy abit(due to his family death) and turned into KABALA and other mystical jewsh stuff .
among the things that he said :
in the year 1999 or 2000 humans are gonna have an encounter/communicatins with ALIENS
(so far none of them called my cell phone they do not even e-mail me!)

the thing is that all lthe things that were told to happentrned out as happend after the fact.
like the 3rd raich thenazis used.

same as if smething in the world took place and i looked for a book that said something/descrived the same event.

Wanna keep terrorists out of the cockpit? Put a door that can't be broken by a tooless 180 pound man. If it has a window make sure it's bullet proof.

Calling this one of the worst things to ever happen to mankind is not true at all. The US has commited crimes and has done things much worse than this. Bombing countries (Yugo, Iraq), somebody say invented nuclear bombs?, nuked japan... These are only a few of the many crimes the United States has done.

Now don't get me wrong, I feel extremely bad for all the people who lost their lives today, and my condolenses to all their families, but the US has attacked many countries without being retaliated on. You see how you all feel? This is how Yugoslavians and Iraqi's felt, doesn't feel good does it? Civilians dying over matters which they cannot control.

Now, I understand all your sorrow, and its well justified, but were was this sorrow when US was attacking other countries? Now the only thing that your president and senators talk of is retaliation. Retaliation will just have more civilians die, and if a war starts many of those will be American. Being a pacifist I strongly disagree with the actions of the US with almost everything they do.

I want to bring up a point before I'm done. I just want you all to see that nobody is asking "Why did this happen?", all which they ask is "Who did this?".

Again, my condolenses to all those who lost their lives yesterday, may god have mercy on us all.

"The third great war will start when the two tall lances fall in the
great city. The day birds offer themselves up to the heavens"
- Nastradamus

That was the prophecy I found.

There is a difference between prophesising over events that might happen and making events fit prophesies.

This means all too many people might of known of such a prophesy and are quite happy to make them a reality.

From this monstrous Disaster things should be learnt to make sure events never play out this again. As some of you have stated, placing aeroplane pilots into a cabin that is seperate from the passengers is a good idea. Possibly instating New avoidance technology that avoids building and other craft collisions similar to how ground avoidance has been used.

As for buildings, you should note that the height of the building should be defined by the speed at which a person can leave from the top. Only 15 minutes to exit that top floor and get down X number of floors, any longer than 15 minutes and unfortunately as we have seen the building has the potential to collapse if fire engulfs it.

Better sprinkler systems, with a multiple number of water tanks located on each level to try and defeat flames.

As for structural engineering, maybe a redesign in buildings for how the floors are constructed, and for how much weight load each floor can take.

I know some might find that writing this might seem cold, but to cover these things could prevent a repeat occurance from just the structuring. Of course the rest is up to the Services and ally countries to define how terrorism should be tackled now.

What I do say is If the allies are to Help the US tackle this, then there are Terrorists that the Allies are having problems with too which should be countered also. Perhaps between all the allies Terrorism might well be wiped from our dictionaries.

uh the just a little note that the water tanks and improvide sprinkling system wouldn't have done anything. the planes were literally flying bombs with lots of fuel that when that fuel burns its hot enough to melt steel. thats why the buildings collapsed

The best solution is to remove the threat. Otherwise, you will live in fear and paranoia for the rest of your life. The next threat can be biological and nuclear. Keeping a tank of water will not help.

As I watch the CNN, everybody except one person wants to setup procedures to search your luggage and make it so difficult that, the airports will look like third world countries. The solution that I had in mind and agreed by that security except is to put a sky marshal in every plane and/or have trained security stewards. Otherwise every sharp object including knives, forks, big Italian guys, ball pens, computers, dress belts etc will be banned. Already one airport is trying to ban ANY carry on, including female purses.

Scotia B You have quite the nerve, posting that. Remember one thing, the only reason your country is safe is because you boarder the U.S. Because if any thing happens to the U.S. your all done.
We have to retaliate as soon as possible and with an excess of force the world has never seen. This was AN ACT OF WAR and should be treated as such.
We should use this opportunity to get rid of any and all terrorist groups we know of....
we should act as barbaric as the people that did this striking deep into the countries that harbor these groups and fund their exploits.
The time has come to point out the enemy and deal with them accordingly.
War is a violent act, but sometimes a necessary one.
watching the Palestinians on CNN dancing around celebrating. Well to say the very least made me sick and angrier then I've ever been. Sorry the kids might not know any better because they are brainwashed, but that doesn't make them an less dangerous. Innocents is not an issue, there are no innocents.
Out of the TWENTY THOUSAND possible dead, all were innocent but three to five per plane. People I don't remember the exact number, but didn't just about twenty thousand die in our civil war.

These events are tragic and cataclysmic...some real sicko must have perpetrated this fiendish action. Nonetheless...my blessing is with the USA to not screw this vengeance up: everybody wants the Americans to retaliate, but only time will tell if their(your?) method is reasonable. As I belive I mentioned earlier, a tit-for-tat reaction is not an option.

P.S. Why do I get the feeling that Clinton might have handled this differently?

P.P.S. These are also views from a teen.

Hi Ankit:

You may be right. Some say

BUSH=WAR (Both father and son...)
CLINTON=PROSPERITY

Can it be true? or just a co-incidence ?

You be the judge.

Palestinians Dancing in the Streets

I wouldn't get too excited about the Palestinians dancing in the streets as apparently September 11th is the anniversary of the death of somebody that they all disliked (I haven't found out who yet), and thanks to the wonderful media just forgot to mention that all those people dancing really had no idea what was going on in the US. Unfortunately sometimes the media will twist things around just to get people all fired up. I'm not saying they lie, they just don't always expose the whole truth because it wouldn't be as exciting if they did. Also remember that media and internet are not even close to be as available to them as they are to us here in North America so if any of them were aware of what was going on, chances are they did not know all the facts.

Wet1 made the most valid point of patience being the most important part in all this before charging off in the wrong direction and making mistakes.

Is it possible that the same media will hound the politicians until they do something controversial so that it is in the best interest of media. That is the American Way.

There are some smart people in Washington. I hope they are being listened to.

PATMAN , I know how upset you feel. But how can you justify war. Sure the US should retaliate and punish the terrorists and anyone affiliated, but what about the innocent ones who dont want war rather world peace. Those palestinians dancing in the streets are the minority of palestine. Sure the peaceful palestinians who support the US want peace too, but they arent stupid enough to go and kill people for it. I think they should have land, given that it is a fair compromise. You cant see past your nose Patman, I really pity you. And BTW Canada has way more allies than the USA, even if the USA wasnt there we would be safe. Canada is well liked around most of the world as a peaceful and friendly nation. Bombing the US, sad and devastating as it may be, is an act of war on freedom, nothing compared to bombing Canada. Something like the CN tower. That would be an act of war on civilization, world peace, and freedom. My point.......Canada would have much better backup and support than the US could ever attain.

BTW, guess who sacrificed some lives capping all the oilwells that saddam lit on fire in kuwait. (clue; it wasnt the Americans)

Elbaz,
I won't give you my first knee jerk reaction. You had nothing to do with this. I will state that there were a lot of people involved in putting out the fires in Kuwait. I am sorry some of your countrymen where hurt of killed in the process. It is an exceeding difficult and dangerous job to deal with an oil fire.

That you have patriotism for your country is an admirable quality to be found for any countryman. That is indeed what is driving a lot of these posts. You may not agree with the viewpoints to those expressed, especially mine at the present time. But they are driven by the same feelings that you have for your country. Put yourself in their position and I think that prehaps your viewpoint might be alter a bit. What if the same terrorist had taken out their hideous designs on Canada? Not that I wish that on you. But I think it slams home the idea I express.

The terrorist hide in amoung the population and use them for cover. The first thing Saddam does after an attack is to drag the news media into the battle site to show all the hurt civilians. Because the news has its content censored before broadcast you never hear that the target was planted purposely beside a school or hospital. It is a favorite tactic to draw on the bleeding hearts to stop so that he can continue on with his plans and military machine intact. You can not seperate one from the other. It is the way that the terrorist, their government and their military think. If you would have themilitary targets then the civilians will suffer. And they are put in that situtation on purpose by their own leaders. It shows you what they think of thier populace. It is only when they can get benefit that the welfare of the citizens are dragged out.

As far as the support the US gets from the world, it has always been so. Even though the US is the largest contributor to the world in the form of relief, military protection, trade, and an endless amount of other items. I ask you, if you offered money to help some country that needed it, would you not ask for something besides the giving away of such? Like maybe, act better, or set your business up this way and we will trade. Or don't jail your dissenters and leave them to rot for nothing more than expressing their viewpoint.

In a few days I will calm back down to my normal self and not be such a hawk on this and go back to my call for sanity. And present it is the way I deal with it. More sane heads will lead the nation than I am at present and no matter what you think of Bush, he can not do it alone. It will take the combined consenses of our governmet and not just Bush by hisself that will move the wheels of justice.

Written by a Canadian that DIDN'T have his head up his ass

Subject: America
This, from a Canadian newspaper, is worth sharing.

America: The Good Neighbor.

Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record:

"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.

Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.

When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.

When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were lattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.

The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans.

I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American planes?

Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon - not once, but several times - and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke. I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

Stand proud, America!

This is one of the best editorials that I have ever read regarding the United States. It is nice that one man realizes it. I only wish that the rest of the world would realize it. We are always blamed for everything, and never even get a thank you for the things we do.

I would hope that each of you would send this to as many people as you can and emphasize that they should send it to as many of their friends until this letter is sent to every person on the web.

Amen Brutha.

And this was written by a Canadian that DIDN'T have his head up his own ass. Unlike our friend Elbaz there.

Terrorism in the Community

Here in the UK we have had this, on a smaller scale, for 30 years and most of it has been with support from a small minority of ill informed Americans. The tragic events in America this week are on a massive scale compared with what I have seen and experienced, nevertheless, with American dollars going into Noraid etc, the PIRA have waged this terror on the decent folk of Northern Ireland since 1969. You can help US now America as we are helping you - stop funding the IRA - NOW!

Red Devil,
I can not speak for my countrymen. I can tell you that not one thin dime has come out of my pockets for such as the IRA. I am a firm believer that my dollar is a vote for what I believe in. If I and all others believe this then Microsoft and the software industry would take more time to make their products right instead of rushing them to market before they are complete.

The same can be said for political movements. If a party would resort to such tactics I for one do not support such.
