As if the $150 million so far paid to this UnitedHealth subsidiary for its farcically bad implementation was not enough, the executive vice president of the firm (Anthony Welters) and his wife were among Obama's largest personal campaign contributors during the 2008 election cycle (and the firm has spent millions "lobbying" for Obamacare).

There is no evidence of cronyism here or any untoward political shenanigans on the part of Democrats. There is however evidence of incompetence both in and outside of government. The project was incompetently managed by HHS of that there is no question. I used to do this kind of thing for a living and I cannot see a single thing they did correctly. I not only fault the government but the contractors as well. CGI was the lead contractor, not QSSI. You don't need cronyism in order to have incompetence. And the presence of incompetence does not equate to cronyism.

I never said the world is "Perfect". It's exactly because the world isn't perfect we need LESS Government. These are Facts:
(1) Approximately 1 in 25 people in Western nations (including Australia) fall on the Sociopathy spectrum. This number has increased over the last 15 years - not decreased, increased. Sociopathic personality are more prevalent in positions of power including: CEOs, bankers, doctors, lawyers - and of course, Politicians. Further, being in a position of power alters brain chemistry, particularly dopamine, in the same reward centers as cocaine. Losing power is similar to having withdrawals. Some people, who need their fix, will say and do anything to get that fix (See: Comeback Kevin). Including selling out the future children of the 'Nation' to the highest bidder via T-Bonds.

(2) The only difference between Government and ANY OTHER GROUP of humans in 'society' is it's legal obligation to initiate force against innocent people. That's it. Why on earth anyone would think giving MORE power (such as the power to create debt and money) to this group is beyond reasoning - which of course is why we have Public "Education". To eliminate reasoning. Because any reasonable person understands that in a society where 1 in 25 are sociopaths, and that these people tend to out-perform the general public the very LAST thing you want to give them access to is POWER to initiate force against innocent people.

Well for starters, what we are talking about here are junk health insurance plans. These are plans that I do not consider to be health insurance as they provide very little health insurance. Two, these plans were grandfathered in under Obamacare. As long as insurance companies didn't change those plans they could continue indefinitely. So what Obama said was and remains completely true. However insurance companies decided to terminate those plans because they could not change them under Obamacare rules. Any changes to those plans would need to be compliant with Obamacare rules. So this seems to be just more right wing conservative misinformation.

This is false, I just received notification that my "out of pocket" more than doubled (from 3000 to 6350).
All the available plans (11 in total) more than doubled the "out of pocket" amount. I can scan the letter I just received. So, people are actually getting (a lot) less insurance for the same amount of money.

Yeah, that is what they all say until they need to use them. Again, I suggest you read your "gold standard junk insurance" policy. Per the article I previously posted, many people such as you thought they had "gold standard" insurance until they needed to use it.

I have always had very good health insurance...the real gold & platinum kind. And I have not received a cancellation notice for noncompliance with Obamacare and the reason is because I really do have GOLD STANDARD Plus health insurance. I have a $250 annual deductible and a $1,000 annual out of pocket cap and that policy will continue into 2014 unaffected by Obamacare.

So before you go calling people ignorant and as I told you before, you really need to read your "junk gold" health insurance policy. One of the problems you have is you don't know what "gold standard" health insurance is because you have never had it, much less understand what kind of insurance you really have.

Why do you persist in your delusions? The insurance I have is KPC HMO, ZERO deductible , 3000$ max out of pocket (until Dec 31 2013, 6350 thereafter, courtesy of obamacare), 200$ copay for emergency care, 250 copay for inpatient hospital, you can find it on the internet.
