Hello, just seeking a bit of homework help. :)

I'm trying to identify what the receptors are in glucose regulation of the human body. Also, am I right in assuming that the cells of the islets of langerhans are effectors, and the stimulus is the change in blood sugar levels?

Any help would be much appreciated. :cool:
 
Isn't insulin the hormone which regulates blood sugar? you're right in that its produced by the islets of Langerhans and the receptors are simply insulin receptors in peripheral tissues.
