"In our study that surveyed over a hundred brown rats from all over the UK, the maximum body length of fully-grown rodenticide 'super rats' was 26 cm (10.3 inches) with a tail length of 25 cm (9.8 inches),"
Those are rats. But quite cute, as rats go. Evidently well-fed and in good condition. Got a cat?Oh God. Someone please tell me these are radiation-enhanced mice, not rats.
They're huge. They're like, 7-8 inches nose-to-butt (when they stretch out), not including tail.

Do you know anyone who keeps ferrets? They might be able to catch them, though they will certainly kill them. Getting rid of them without killing them will be quite difficult I agree. A cat would be similar, but I imagine you won't want a cat, as it will also go for the birds and squirrels etc.I got a real problem here.
The rats have been attracted by the cast offs from my birdfeeder. There's at least three of them living under my walkway and deck next to the birdfeeder.
It is frequented by all manner of ground birds and squirrels. Any traps I put out will surely catch them as well.
I think what I will do is
1] put out a giant flat bowl to catch the seeds. At least they'll be contained and I can scoop them out.
2] I'll use peppermint oil and cracked black pepper to discourage them.
But ultimately, that will just drive them to another nearby location. They won't leave as long as there is a food supply.

There are several cats in my immediate proximity. They're proably more interested in the birds though.Do you know anyone who keeps ferrets? Yes. No.Is it possible to domesticate a rat? If so, you could always take them in as pets? (half serious)

What a dirty rat!!My Experience:::
For a couple of weeks i had a rat that i kept as a pet... an after havin it for a while i let it crawl up my arm an it bit me (didnt draw blood)... an i didnt try an handle it after that... an soon after that it got loose... an ran in a hole that led under the house to the other rats.!!!
For sure... an i gave a dollar for itWhat a dirty rat!!

I guess they're not very loyal. Definitely live by their instincts. We should do that more often, but we care about everyone's feelings. Mustn't hurt anyone's feelings. Rats just don't care!For sure... an i gave a dollar for it
