Considering that almost ever swing pair, in Israel is or has been a member of the Defence Forces, that is a minimal number for any Military force of that size, and how many of those suicides had anything at all to do with military duties or combat?

I had one young Trooper who took his car out and took on a Bridge Abutment at over 100 mph because his girlfriend dumped him, he lost.

So you example is spurious at the absolute best, and absolutely worthless for a example of what ever you were trying to prove, unless you know exactly the reason for each and every suicide that took place, people even soldiers commit suicide for a vast number of reasons from sexual excitement, to illness.

More than died in military exercises [which is not odd, actually, considering the tanks and missiles are all on the Israeli side].

It is hard to find exact figures, especially in English, but according to this site,

Israeli Health Ministry published what should be shocking figures: this year, 1700 youngsters attempted suicide, almost all of them during the IDF service. In the three years of service, one out of 17 soldiers attempt suicide. The ratio is still higher for Russians and Ethiopians.

Leftist propaganda, especially intense in the army, demoralize young soldiers.

Unlike the daily helicopter gunships that attack Palestinians in their perpetual prison. They know it will happen anytime day, or night. Surprising there is only one suicide bombing a year.

I can understand the East Europeans, but why are New Zealanders killing themselves?

Only after the daily Palestinian rocket launches against the Israelis, really SAM, if they have it so bad, why don't they just stop sending suicide bombers, and shooting at the Israelis.

It seems that every time they have tried that, the Israelis stop shooting back.

If Hammas isn't shooting at the Israelis, Fatah is Shooting at the Israelis, when Fatah and Hammas isn't shooting at the Israelis, if both of those aren't shooting at the Israelis, then Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine is shooting at the Israelis, if those groups decide not to shoot at the Israelis then, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC) starts something, and if that isn't confusing enough, we have Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and at any given time at least one of those groups are attacking Israel, some of them, or all of them are attacking Israel with suicide bombing, rocket attacks, kidnappings, and murder.

So what are the Israelis suppose to do?

Seems the Palestinians don't understand that is you don't shoot at the Israelis, the Israelis will have no reason to shoot back, so I vote for the Palestinians as the major cause of their own deaths.

No, they are per 100,000 population, I can't find the information broken down to military rankings accross the world.

But considering that most Israeli males are in the military active or reserve, I find the numbers remarkably low, and not out of line from the information I found.

200 soliders in the Russian army committed suicide last year.

38 soldiers committed suicide in the German Army last year.

The Italians had a Admiral commit Suicide:

It wasn't their land in the first place, it was Ottoman Land, which became part of the Palestinian Mandate, of which 90% went to the Arabs.

And the Arabs were the ones who started the War, and then lot to a bunch of rag tag Jew's.

No it reverted to the British, as the Palestinian Mandate after the First World War, with the Mandate from the League of Nations to provide a home land to the Israelis.

The Arabs who were in the provence were never given title to the land.

Those who had title kept their land, those who paid taxes on thel and kept their title, Those who didn't leave their land kept their land in Israel, those stayed and who made peace with the Israelis kept their land, those who followed the Arabs, went along and refused to make peace lost their land.

The nakba was real, Jewish intent to dispossess Palestinians was expressed to the Americans in 1919. Recall that no Indians had "title" to Indian land in 1947. We simply gained our independence and received our country, as was our due. As was the Palestinians due in their homeland, also in 1947.

Palestine belongs to Palestinians as India belongs to me. Because I am an Indian, not because I own it. European Jews who "fled" should have fought for their self determination in their own lands as we did in ours.

And yes war is hell, but killing innocent people because you want their land to establish a racist religious state? Thats a holocaust.

SAM, you forget one thing......We won our Independence........the Arabs lost the 1948 war they deserved nothing, they lost, so according to the rules of survival in the world they get no due, the Winner get the due.

And again there is no Holocaust, name the Death Camps, show the Trains delivering the Palestinians to the Death Camps, show the ovens, show the Green Crescent that are required to be worn to Identify the Palestinians.

What we have is the Palestinians consistently shoot and bombing the Israelis, and them screaming that it isn't fair that the Israelis shoot back, they continually call for the destruction of Israel, to drive the Jews into the Sea, and to let the Land run with Jewish blood.

And then the Palestinians want the Israelis to give them welfare, and supply them all the while slapping the Israelis in the Face.

If the Palestinians really want to have a life and the chance to succeed, let them make Peace, stop buying weapons with what little money they have, and use it to build, Home, Schools, Hospitals, Industry, Infrastructure, build a Life and a Nation, this continuos war build nothings, and will never build anything.

Even if Israel disappeared tomorrow, the Palestinians would fail, because they expect things to change over night into a Palestinian Paradise.

You want to know the first thing that would happen if Israel disappeared tomorrow would be?

A Civil War between Fatah and Hammas, and then the Arabs would move in to control the violence, and the State of Palestine would disappear into Syria, Egypt and Jordan, and the Palestinians would disappear into the mists of history.

They did, the lands of the Israelis are Israel, they have been the people with the longest Diaspora in the world, they have been oppressed by every hand, and never allowed to return to their lands, the Lands of יִשְרָאֵל‎, Yisra'el; Arabic: إسرائيل‎, Isrā'īl, the land from which they were forcibly removed, they have the right of first return by the fact that they have been the long displaced people in the world.

A very good description of the Arabs since 1948, the Arabs have been Killing Israelis since 1948 to get their land.

The Arabs received 90% of the lands of the Palestinian Mandate, 100% of the French Mandate, and then they felt that they were cheated of the 10% so the U.N gave them 5% more of the Lands of Israel.

Most nations of the world recognize Israel, SAM. If nothing else, the UN recognizes Israel.

And besides, it wasn't Palestinian land ...they didn't own it. Palestinians have been squatters on that land that was owned by numerous others throughout history. Palestinians don't own shit!

Exactly, that is what the Palestinian/Arabs want to do, Dispossess the Israelis and eliminating them, to make their fantasy Islamic religious state by ethnically cleansing the Israelis from the land, , and that is just wrong.

ps: the Baron is right, the Palestinians own nothing, they have no title or deed and even in the middle east property must have title and deed to prove ownership.

The funny thing is all of the Arabs/Palestinians who do own and hold property in Israel, they have title and deed to their property, to prove ownership, and they still posses that property.

Even under Sharia to own property you must have title and deed, otherwise you are a squatter and can be thrown off the land, it was and is done all the time in the Arab middle east.
