By Him, in Whose Hands my soul is, if anyone of them had known that he would get a bone covered with good meat or two (small) pieces of meat present in between two ribs, he would have turned up for the 'Isha' prayer.'

The Prophet added, "Certainly I decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses."

Quote:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the night prayer and the morning prayer. If they were to know the blessings they have in store, they would have come to them, even though crawling, and I thought that I should order the prayer to be commenced and command a person to lead people in prayer, and I should then go along with some persons having a fagot of fuel with them to the people who have not attended the prayer (in congregation) and would burn their houses with fire.

Hammam b. Munabbih reported: This is what Abu Huraira reported to us from the Messenger of Allah and (in this connection) he narrated some ahadith, one of them is: The Messenger of Allah said: I intend that I should command my young men to gather bundles fuel for me, and then order a person to lead people in prayer, and then burn the houses with their inmates (who have not joined the congregation).

Mailk's Muwatta, Book 8, Number 8.1.3:

Quote:
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'zZinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "By Him in whose hand myself is! I had in mind to order firewood to be collected, then to order the prayer to be called, and to appoint a man to lead the people in prayer, and then to come up behind certain men and burn their houses down about them! By Him in whose hand myself is! If one of them knew that he would find a meaty bone or two good legs of meat, he would be present at isha.''

So this is gods prophet? An exemplary human being who set an example for all mankind to follow?

Not a SINGLE VERSE from the Quran, just quoting weak and some FAKE hadiths !!! you coward ! you dont dare to quote ONE SINGLE VERSE from the Quran, you go to fake hadiths !!! PATHETIC !! :D

You Must Know This Man

You may be an atheist or an agnostic; or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may be a communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your ideological and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be -- YOU MUST STILL KNOW THIS MAN

The Encyclopedia Britannica calls him "The MOST successful of all religious personalities of the world" and it also confirms:

"...A mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were like-wise honest and upright men." (Vol. 12)

Bernard Shaw said about him:

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much-needed peace and happiness".
(The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No.8, 1936)

He was by far the most remarkable man that ever set foot on this earth. He preached a religion, founded a state, built a nation, laid down a moral code, initiated numerous social and political reforms, established a powerful and dynamic society to practice and represent his teachings and completely revolutionized the worlds of human thought and behavior for all times to come.

His name is MUHAMMAD May Peace of God Be Upon Him (pbuh)

Born in Arabia in the year 570 A.D., started his mission of preaching the religion of Truth, Islam (submission to One God) at the age of forty and departed from this world when he was sixty three.

During this short period of 23 years of his Prophethood, he changed the complete Arabian peninsula from paganism and idolatry to worship of One God, from tribal quarrels and wars to national solidarity and cohesion, from drunkenness and debauchery to sobriety and piety, from lawlessness and anarchy to discipline living, from utter bankruptcy to highest standards of moral excellence. Human history has never known such a complete transformation of a people or a place before or since - and IMAGINE all these unbelievable wonders in JUST OVER TWO DECADES.

Lamartine, the renowned historian speaking on the essentials of Human Greatness wonders:

"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare to compare any great man in modern history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislations, empires, peoples, and dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and souls...his forbearance in victory, his ambition, which was entirely devoted to one idea and in no manner striving for an empire; his endless prayers, his mystic conversations with God, his death and his triumph after death; all these attest not to an imposture but to a firm conviction which gave him the power to restore a dogma. This dogma was two-fold, the unity of God and the immateriality of God; the former telling what God is, the latter telling what God is not; the one overthrowing false gods with the sword, the other starting an idea with the words.
Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images, the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is MUHAMMAD. As regards all the standards by which Human Greatness may be measured, we may well ask, IS THERE ANY MAN GREATER THAN HE?(Lamartine, Historire de la Turquie, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp. 276-277).

The world has had its share of great personalities. But these were one-sided figures who distinguished themselves in but one or two fields, such as religious thought or military leadership. The lives and teachings of these great personalities of the world are shrouded in the mist of time. There is so much speculation about the time and place of their birth, the mode and style of their life, the nature and detail of their teachings, the degree and measure of their success or failure that it is impossible for humanity to reconstruct accurately the lives and teachings of these men.

Not so this man. Muhammad (pbuh) accomplished so much in such diverse fields of human thought and behavior in the fullest blaze of human history. Every detail of this private and public utterances has been accurately documented and faithfully preserved to our day. The authenticity of the records so preserved are vouched for not only by the faithful followers but even by his prejudiced critics.

Muhammad (pbuh) was a religious teacher, a social reformer, a moral guide, an administrative colossus, a faithful friend, a wonderful companion, a devoted husband, a loving father - all in one. No other man in history ever excelled or equaled him in any of these different aspects of life - but it was only for the selfless personality of Muhammad (pbuh) to achieve such incredible perfections.

Mahatma Gandhi, speaking on the character of Muhammad (pbuh) says in 'Young India':

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind...I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life".

Thomas Carlyle in his 'Heroes and Heroworship', was simply amazed as to:

"How one man single handily, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades".

Diwan Chand Sharma wrote:

"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him"
(D.C. Sharma, 'The Prophets of the East', Calcutta, 1935, pp.12)

Edward Gibbon and Simon Ockley speaking on the profession of ISLAM write:

" 'I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MUHAMAD, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet have never transgresses the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion".
(History of the Saracen Empires, London, 1870, p.54).

Muhammad (pbuh) was nothing more or less than a human being. But he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God', and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.

Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, Sarojini Naidu says:

"It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother."
( S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, P.169).

In the words of Prof. Hugronje:

" the league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle international unity and human brotherhood in such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations". He continues, "the fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations".

The world has not hesitated to raise to divinity, individuals whose lives and missions have been lost in legend. Historically speaking none of these legends achieved even a fraction of what Muhammad (pbuh) accomplished. And all his stiving was for the soul purpose of uniting mankind for the worship of One God on the codes of moral excellence. Muhammad (pbuh) of his followers never at any time that he was a Son of God or the God-incarnate or a man with divinity - but he always was and is even today considered as only a Messenger chosen by God.

Michael H. Hart in his recently published book on ratings of men who contributed towards the benefit and upliftment of mankind writes:

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels".
(M.H.Hart,'The 100: A ranking of the most influential persons in history', New York, 1978, pp.33).

Jules Masserman (Jewish) in in TIME Magazine:

"Perhaps the greatest leader of all times was Mohammad, who combined all the three functions. To a lesser degree Moses did the same."
(Jules Masserman, 'Who Were Histories Great Leaders?', TIME Magazine, July 15, 1974).

K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian Professor of Philosophy in his booklet, "Muhammad, The Prophet of Islam," calls him the "perfect model for human life." Prof. Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes! There is Muhammad, the Prophet. There is Muhammad, the Warrior; Muhammad, the Businessman; Muhammad, the Statesman; Muhammad, the Orator; Muhammad, the Reformer; Muhammad, the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad, the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad, the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad, the Judge; Muhammad, the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."

Today after a lapse of fourteen centuries the life and teachings of Muhammad (pbuh) have survived without the slightest loss, alteration or interpolations. They offer the same undying hope for treating mankind's many ills, which they did when he was alive. This is not a claim of Muhammad's (pbuh) followers but also the inescapable conclusion forced upon by a critical and unbiased history.

The least YOU could do as a thinking and concerned human being is to stop for a moment and ask yourself: Could these statements sounding so extraordinary and revolutionary be really true? And supposing they really are true and you did not know this man MUHAMMAD (pbuh) or hear about him isn't it time to you responded to this tremendous challenge and put-in some effort to know him?

It will cost you nothing but it may prove to be the beginning of a completely new era in your life.

I invite you to make a discovery of this wonderful man, 'MUHAMMAD (pbuh)', the like of whom never walked on the face of this earth.

You want quotes from the Quran.... OK here you are..

Muhammad committed a sin. Accepting idolatry and polytheism is sin and for a short period of time, while he was claiming to be a prophet, Muhammad did this. It is true that Muhammad repented of this sin and this event still shows a great failing in his life.

This event must not be ignored because it is inconvenient or thought irrelevant, for it shows that Muhammad was just an ordinary person - he had to confess his sins and ask for forgiveness:

(Muhammad prayed) O Allah! Forgive my mistakes and my ignorance and my exceeding the limit (boundaries) of righteousness in my deeds; and forgive whatever You know better than I. O Allah! Forgive the wrong I have done jokingly or seriously, and forgive my accidental and intentional errors, all that is present in me. (Sahih Al-Bukhari: vol 8, book 75, number 408)

So know (O Muhammad) that there is no God save Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy sin and for believing men and women (Qur'an 47:19, Pickthall)

We have seen that the following verse explains why Muhammad momentarily accepted idolatry and spoke Satan's words.

Never have We sent a single prophet or apostle before you with whose wishes Satan did not tamper. But God abrogates the interjections of Satan and confirms His own revelations. (Qur'an 22:52, Dawood)

The verse says that all prophets and apostles had Satan affect them. This verse is partly true, for it is true that Satan has caused many of God's prophets to sin. The Bible records such events, for example, Adam and Eve rebelled against God (Genesis 3); Aaron made the golden calf (Exodus 32); David counted his army (1 Chronicles 21:1); Judas betrayed Jesus (Luke 22:3), and Peter tempted Jesus (Matthew 16:23).

However this verse in the Qur'an is totally false when it comes to Jesus for Jesus never sinned.

Jesus was tempted by Satan in exactly the same way that Muhammad was, but unlike Muhammad Jesus never sinned: Muhammad was tempted to acknowledge false gods in order to achieve his desire of the Quraysh accepting him; he gave in to this temptation and acknowledged their gods.

Jesus too was tempted to achieve his desire to rule as Christ by acknowledging false gods, but when Satan tempted Jesus:-

Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: `Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" (Matthew 4:10)

How different Jesus is to Muhammad! Jesus always obeyed God:-

He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth (1 Peter 2:22). (He) has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

Path,

Ironically, you endeared Mohammad more with those who are muslims, not 'hypocrites'. Mohammed used violent terms to emphasize the importance of those prayers at not_so_convinient_times of the day. If you happen to be an atheist, those words would appear horrible to you. But those who took to prayers would take it as an extreme way of conveying the importance of these prayers.

What is funny in this thread is, the exposure of the hypocrites (among muslims, not the infidels like you and me!) against whom Mohammed wished to act against so violently. And that gives me a strange thought. Had Mohammed has the authority and means to do so, so many hypocrites, who pretend that these are the fake haddiths and prefer to be mouth-piece of Islam rather than seeking closeness with their God in prayers, would have been purged from the muslim society!. Your thread reveals the hypocrites in a 'rude' manner, i guess.

:D Well it got a rise out of proud muslim so I guess you consider him to be in the hypocrit group

did any of you know the man?

NO

so shut up and get over it, what does it matter in the scheme of things?

sorry to be so rude, but seriously, you sound like retards.

A request to others. Can you please not address PM points, I know this is a very bold and outrageous request. However, I want PM to take on my challenge in my thread. If he doesn't, it proves he and his religion is false beyond a shadow of doubt.

Which only means, you do not have to produce any more proof. Let's not go into circular arguments. Address the issue head on, and if he fails, we can stop discussing Islam.

:) Not a peep from me now, Mike

You cannot prove his religion false beyond a shadow of a doubt, that's the dumbest thing i think i've ever heard on this forum.

Adding to that the fact that when you challenge someone, the other side has to have at least minimum knowledge of Islam, the ''crazy'' goat here does not even know the ABC about Islam let alone challenging a devout experienced muslim !!!

:p

You are clearly arrogant towards other people and in turn towards yourself and your God. Good luck with that.

Why Mohammed was not a prophet:

One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives and their “right hand possessions” (Quran 33:50) He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way. Muhammad was a narcissist like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified.

Why Quran is not from God:

Muhammad produced no miracles and when pressed he claimed that his miracle is the Quran. Yet a cursory look at the Quran reveals that this book is full of errors. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical errors and ethical fallacies. It is badly compiled and it contradicts itself. There is nothing intelligent in this book let alone miraculous. Muhammad challenged people to produce a “Surah like it” or find an error therein, yet Muslims would kill anyone who dares to criticize it. In such a climate of hypocrisy and violence truth is the first casualty.
