What do you think of this movie idea:
Title: The Perfect Crime
A man is working 3 jobs to support his family, but life still hasn't handed him any good breaks. Broken water pipes, car repairs, and the rising cost of living have really effected him. The man has no college and no real good job references to fall back on. His life is further complicated when he comes home late one night after another long day at work to find that his wife and kids have left him. A note is all that is left for him. The note is filled with bitter remarks and underlying insults. He wakes the next morning to a banging on the door. He was being evicted. An angry landlord in the outskirts watching, but not wanting to be confrontational. The rent check had bounced again. The man is living on the street, pulling scraps from the trash of a Kentucky Fried Chicken at night. A brilliant idea comes to him one night as he was curled up next to a fence in the park. He was watching as a man was being arrested at the local pawn shop. He decided that he would committ an obvious crime and be put in jail for a little bit of time. No more eating junk from the garbage. No more sleeping outside. Showers, bed, TV, cable, internet. The luxuries that he had not known in quite awhile. The next few days were filled with thoughts of the kind of crime he would commit. He was generally a good person and he didn't want to do anything violent or completely degrading to get put in jail. He needed the perfect crime. Without going into more detail, basically, he begins committing theft type crimes, but for some comical reason, he keeps evading being caught. Evidence on the crime scenes get misplaced, misconstrued, and destroyed by accidental type things. He continues to go bigger and bigger to commit the perfect crime, but before he realizes it, he is rich enough to afford a house. He is soon on top in a way he never dreamed. Though, he was now addicted to this crazed idea and continues his crime streaks. The ending is still obscure. Not sure how it should end. If it were a movie, I would toss it more as a physciological thriller. Really get into the mind of the depraved character. Watch how his depravity even continues once he overcomes that which was at first his obstacle.
