Your mother is about to die, she is delirious and may have lost her mind. She requests that her entire fortune be given to your youngest sister who happens to have a gambling problem. Your mother dies moments after the request. Do you ignore the request and pocket your share or obey your mother's last request?

When someone reads a will, one of the first things they say is "being of sound mind". So I"d ignore the request if she was truly delerious.

momma don'ta k1ll in daeth of diez i are luv teh my mom.
One way would be putting out of her misery and collect the sweet cash.
Its normal to have second thoughts before you die,as its safer to pray in all religions before you die...just in case.
Anyway, its not that u gonna meet her in afterlife asking you for change.
But ye,i would honor her wish ,the wish she made When she had her senses.

~excuse the trollin parts ,ty for your understanding~

I agree with this delirious argument, especially given the gambling problems of the sister. Why give it to the casinos? Not that I have any particular need for the money myself, better to spend it on help for the sister perhaps.

i'd do what my mom says. who cares? i've got my own money.

I take everything for myself because my sister will just gamble all the money .
I invest the money and give her 50% of the profit . When she does not gamble I give her her share and her profits and not before .

A child should honor their mother's true wishes, not what their mother may have said at a psychologically vulnerable moment. It could be her true wish she would enable her daughters gambling habit. It could be the opposite. Everything must be interpreted in a context, or can easily be taken inaccurately.

You ignore it as she is dead and you would love your sister to much to allow her to waste all that money and then eventually kill herself out of shame. So you see you are actually doing your Sister a service and saving her life at the same time.

It depends on how much is the entire fortune. If less than $100 then why should I bother..?!

p.s.: I was kidding

I'd ignore the request. That money could go to something positive, not to fund someone's gambling habit and fuel her to destroy her own life.

I'd take my half, and since the other sister isn't too sound, use it as a trust fund for her kids, like Orly said.

to be honest, I don't think I'd do what she wanted even if she wasn't delirious. It's probably why my younger brothers are in charge if she is ever hospitalized like that. They are more obedient
